Hidden fees, watch out!

I book a room for my wife and son, and the hotel gave only one beed for all of us, even thouhg i have requested two beds The options: cacel the reservation and look for another hotel or pay for and extra fee 0f $40 per nigth in order to have to beeds..... what a rip off and costumer service level For the rest, the hotel is well located

Filthy hotel. cramped room. Staff lied to me

We travelled for 17 hours got here and were put in a room that was filthy. The carpets were disguising. Dirty socks on the floor and the beds were full of black hairs as was the bathroom. The windows did not block out sound from the streets and as the taxi driver told me this is one area of San Francisco you should avoid. I paid for two nights but checked out of the hotel at 6 am after first night. I was told by supervisor they would talk to Expedia and refund my second night. When Expedia called the hotel they said they had sorted it directly with me when they had not. What a lie!! Expedia were very good and refunded the second night but without tax. Whole experience really frustrating DO NOT STAY HERE!

Great Location

Located very central to the shopping district. Just a walk around the corner to the Hop on Hop Off buses. Staff were really nice. Our room was small. Bed was large and comfortable. The closet was tiny and could only fit a few of our bags without making it difficult to get stuff in and out of them. Bathroom was average size, the hot water took a while to heat up. The window in the bathroom made the room cold, it was a shutter style window but permanently open so the cold air was always blowing inside. The heater in the room was extremely noisy and the staff had to bring a portable heater in but the room short circuited from having that on. Tv had a variety of channels. It may sound a little horrible from this review but it wasn't all that bad. It's an older well kept building so im not surprised from the short circuiting. They may want to change the windows for the winter weather and just need to upgrade to a more modern style heater?

Good location near Union Square. Small room but clean and quiet. Beds were comfortable. Free drink at Happy Hour. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

Cramped old room

Great location, but the room was not. Very cramped, with oversized chair that didn't fit room not desk. Heater didn't work initially. Shower curtain too small for tub size. Not first choice for Union Sq hotel next time.

Nice Hotel close to everything!

Pros: I liked how clean it was and updated the rooms were. The free drink voucher was also very nice.
Cons: The elevator does take awhile sometimes which got annoying because we would walk up and down the stairs, but other than that everything was great.
Location: Very great location as we were in Union Square. On our trip we walked pretty much everywhere such as Golden Gate Park, Bakers beach and Pier 39.
I felt very welcomed coming into the hotel from the moment we arrived at the hotel. When our plane arrived a few hours before the check-in time at 3:00 they kindly took our bags to the back until a room opened up. The employees from maintenance, front desk, and maids were all very good at their job to make sure the hotel continues to run smoothly.
