Stylish, clean, nice amenities, friendly staff

Posted Jul 15, 2017
I loved the room and had a lovely view of The City. Suggestion: wine opener (there are wine glasses but no opener). Suggestion: parking stalls VERY narrow & not much space to maneuver - FT attendant needed to help. I clipped my L side mirror (new car) in last available space - but easy fix. Attendant not there to help me park but tried to help fix. Overall enjoyable experience and lovely boutique hotel!

Great location

Hotel was in a great location. Small hotel with only 3 floors but very nice. Rooms are small but nicely furnished. Bathrooms are nice and clean. Room itself could have been cleaner. Smelled a little musty.

Hidden Gem

Posted May 29, 2017
I almost don't want to review this place because I want to keep it a hidden secret. We were here in a holiday weekend and almost every hotel in the bay was booked. We came across this place and it had availability (probably because of the terrible reviews). We booked it out of necessity and were ready for the worst. I can tell you this place was amazing. Everything was new and freshly remodeled. They had great amenities and little snacks downstairs the whole time. We went to the Hyatt the next night and wished we were back at Laurel Inn.

Thank you for taking the time to share about your visit - we so appreciate your heartfelt note; we are thrilled you enjoy the hotel updates while exploring our quaint neighborhood during a busy Holiday Weekend. We hope to welcome you back soon to enjoy the delicious, freshly baked Batter Bakery Cookies, still warm to the touch with refreshing Lavender Lemonade while planning out another afternoon activity or playing one of our board-games set out in our lobby. We genuinely look forward to your next visit!

A Gem in a Quiet Neighorhood

Posted May 18, 2017
Pros: The complimentary coffee/tea/pastries in the morning and lemonade/cookies in the afternoon were a nice touch.
Cons: If you have a room above the bar next door (Swank) and there is a DJ, you will get NO SLEEP! Do not stay in rooms 110, 111, 112, or 114.
Location: It is located in a relatively quiet area outside of the downtown commercial area, but Uber rides were fast and cheap. Recommend Osteria restaurant.
The hotel apparently underwent major renovations recently (in fact, they didn't have time to install the glass shower door before we checked in so they temporarily put up a shower curtain) so everything is new and beautiful. The room size, lay-out, and decor are ideal. The bathroom has this HUGE vanity sink with lots of room to store your stuff. The beds and linens were comfy. The closet was small with only 4 hangers, and there are only 3 small drawers (which would be tough if you had a family of 4 staying there).

Dear Barbie J, I am sorry the DJ from Swank was too loud. I apologize if any sleep was lost . You are correct as we just went thru a full renovation and we are glad you enjoyed the size of the guest room and bathroom. Thank you for the feedback and we are glad you enjoyed the rooms!

Very Pleasant!

Posted Apr 29, 2017
Pros: Wonderful staff, updated hotel that was smaller but well appointed. Made it convenient to go in and out without walking thru a huge lobby & hallways.
Location: Nice neighborhood. Close to Presidio gardens, Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Park. About 15 minutes to Union Square and Fisherman's Wharf.
Friendly & helpful staff, updated throughout. A room with a kitchenette was perfect for my sister & I. It provided extra space for comfort & convenience. There was a dressing area w/ an extra mirror. A kitchenette comprised of a microwave, espresso machine, small refrigerator, sink & small dinning table; perfect! Nice neighborhood too. A Very Pleasant place to stay. Highly Recommended!

Small cozy room

Posted Apr 21, 2017 on Hotels
Hotel parking is very tight but that is to be expected when you are in San Francisco. The room is small and next to a Fire Station so expect to hear the fire truck go by several times at night. Aside from that, the hotel is located is a relatively flat area so it is easy to drive to. They provide free pastry, tea, and coffee in the morning. Parking is $30 a night. The bed is kind of old and too soft so our backs were hurting the next day.

DearTraveler, Thank you for taking the time to let us know how your recent stay went. It is only through guest feedback that we can truly improve our product and service. The fire station you referred to is 4 blocks away and we are sorry it was a distraction. Regarding the rooms size we have 20% larger rooms than the average in San Francisco at 350sq. feet. Thank you for your comments and business. We do hope to see you again soon!

Nice hotel until you look closer

Posted Apr 19, 2017
Double beds were extremely small, even my wifes feet hung over the end, shes only 5'-3". No coffee maker in our room. We were told that only "certain rooms" have coffee makers. Ridiculous. They should put that in their online listing, lots of other hotels in the area that offer basic items like this.
