Perfect location for work or adventure * Lots of nearby PARKING options (see section below) Flexibility Regarding the 4pm Check-In Time * If you get to San Francisco late in the evening/night, that's no problem: There is a key lock box to retrieve a set of keys at any point after 4pm. * If you get to San Francisco before 4pm: You can generally drop off your bags earlier than that (after the previous guests leave) while I am cleaning the house in preparation for your arrival, then come back at some point later (anytime after 4pm) to make yourselves at home. Flexibility Regarding the 10am Check-Out Time * While I request that you be packed up so I can start laundry and cleaning at 10am, you can generally leave your bags behind while I'm cleaning the house and come back to pick them up before 4pm. There might additional flexibility if needed, so please ask. There are several neighborhood markets 4-7 minutes away. There is a Wallgreens Pharmacy 2 blocks away. There is a Trader Joe's and Safeway Supermarket within a 12 minute walk. A HISTORIC RESIDENCE Amid an abundance of restaurants, cafés, bars and markets, you'll be able to have a comfortable home! This is the 3rd floor of a building constructed shortly after the San Francisco earthquake and fires of 1906. The front room has a queen bed with a beautiful red antique bed frame and other vintage pieces. This is a hosted rental meaning that I live here in the home. There are 2 other guest rooms available: The second room has queen bed with a gold and grey antique bed frame. The third room has a couch that converts to a comfortable queen bed with a foam topper or can be used as a living room. At the end of the hall is a sun-filled kitchen and dining area. The kitchen has a gas range and oven, fridge, and various kitchen tools to make home-cooked meals. Coffee, cream, eggs, butter, fruit, oatmeal, maple syrup, bread, milk, and other cooking supplies are available for guests. Breakfast is self-made. I do not prepare breakfasts for guests. The bright dining area is a wonderful place to enjoy drinks or meals. I custom made the dining table and other furniture. There is seating for 8. Feel free to just use the dining table as a desk/work space. Walk through the kitchen to the sink room which, has a sink, vanity area, various supplies, and windows to the ceiling, various supplies. Through another door is the bathroom with a toilet and shower/bath. Having these two separate spaces makes it possible for one person to be using the toilet or shower in the bathroom while another person may brush their teeth in the sink room. I provide a make-up mirror with a light, blow dryer, cotton balls, q-tips, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, earplugs, band-aids, sunscreen, and a few feminine products in case of emergency. The house doesn't include, but there's a laundromat a half block away and laundry supplies are provided.

    5/5 Excellent

Sara was an amazing host that made our first trip with my girlfriend to San Francisco special. She always had new ideas for us to try while we were in town and her home was so cozy and the location is amazing. We could walk anywhere we wanted to go and never ran short of things to do during our entire week there! If I return to SF I will definitely hope that Sara has a room available for us!

    Amazing!!!!!

We can't say enough good things about Sara and her home! She was warm, welcoming, kind, generous, helpful, knowledgeable, super fun....this list can go on forever! Sara has tons of helpful hints about the area, was incredibly flexible and helpful with our travel needs (storing a bicycle among other things!) and was an all around wonderful person! We don't often travel to the same area twice, but if we were to ever return to San Francisco we would undoubtedly stay with her again!!!! =)

    5/5 Excellent

    Convenient alley

This was my first time in San Francisco so my husband wanted it to be special . Staying here at this location made it just that . Upon arrival we were promptly greeted by lovely Sarah, the property manager. She was so helpful with our questions of local places to dine & visit . This location is great too , if you’re wanting to walk to grab a bite and do some sightseeing . It’s literally a step out your front door. This place has a nice history and if you’re searching for whimsical and quaint , this would be it !

    4/5 Good

    Great area, friendly people, awesome.

Loved it. Little strange sharing bathrooms and shower but worth it. Meet new people in a different environment. Like a dorm!

    5/5 Excellent

Wonderful & clean property close to everything in North Beach & Chinatown. Everything in the house has been thought about to make sure you are comfortable. I would love to return.
