Bad facilities

no heat in the room. The person at reception would not switch on central heating long enough for room to get warm. Very old building. With very old and inconvenient elevator.

Ok, for a two star hotel

Problem was not with staff that is more than helpful, but with the condition of a hotel. Location is great, very close to Union Square.

Bad Experience

Had a very bad experience. Someone walked into my room from the adjoining room around 11:30pm while I was sleeping. Called the front desk no action. Again believe the same person tried to walk in to my room around 12:35. When I yelled person closed the door. In the morning I asked the front desk there was absolutely no reaction. He said he called the manager but nothing happened. Room didn’t have Kleenex, no cups for the water, horrible bed the list goes on. Never again staying at the Mithila.

Good location, close to everything.

No AC, the fan was hard to operate. We had to unplug the tv and the alarm radio in order to have a place to charge our phones. We almost bought a power strip so we could have some outlets. The bed was comfortable. The offer free coffee and tea, but I wouldn't recommend the coffee. Overall all it was ok. Good price for the location and service.

Convenient location and Good rate.

A good location, very pleasant and helpful staff, and extra special for claustrophobic people as all floors walkable. Total floors are four. Special hint: take Super Shuttle or similar from SFO if you have luggage. SFO direct to hotel. A few minutes longer than BART except rush hours and a lot easier on the back, etc.

Very nice staff. The bed was quite old and the sheets were scratchy. They make the most of the space they have...but if you opened the door to the room, bathroom door, or closet door you were going to have a huge problem with space. The bunkbeds were new and a great use of space.

bed was so soft and perfect as we're the pillows. remote control ceiling fan and lighting. clean room and bathroom. small and perfect.
