Great Hotel, Great Location and Great JAZZPosted Nov 23, 2015
We spent the weekend at the Mystic Hotel and it was great. The staff was attentive and pleasant. The food was delicious and the JAZZ was outstanding. My "only" negative review was the lack of staff/support for breakfast. Which led to no plates or silverware and a very slow turn around on replenishing of food. Overall, the place was amazing and I will definitely be staying there again.

PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW. Its HonestPosted Nov 22, 2015
Cons: 1. Get AC 2. Get AC 3. Clean better and on time 4. Better customer service 5. Don't label yourself a boutique hotel 6. Get real WIFI
I travel ALOT and rely on other reviews. This is an unbiased review from a frequent traveler who likes service, cleanliness and quiet. If you're out to party & don't care about resting and just want location, my review doesn't apply. VERY disappointing. I hate the MAJOR chains and like boutiques. The location looked great but I paid in comfort and quality. Honestly I think the major chains are the way to go in SF. DID NOT REST AT ALL. ISSUES: Time: Hotel check in time is 3pm (fine, but usually the place will let you check-in 2ish sometimes even earlier). NOT HERE. Their maids are so late that rooms aren't cleaned on time (and not really clean at all). Got to finally check in after 3. Comfort/safety: NO AC. Fine SF isn't a hot city( but keep in mind it does happen occasionally and I cant even imagine what happens then). Anyway I realized you really DO need AC. Why-> Fine you open the windows..well try sleeping with city traffic, street construction going on in union square, drunk people screaming). Take a hot shower? The room doesn't ventilate and gets like a sauna. Leave windows open during the day (maids will close them and you come back to a hot room). Rooms are always musty smelling. Wifi: so slow, I had to work at nearby Starbucks. BTW views are terrible and face other buildings. The hotel is next to a sketchy bus stop and next to a sketchy massage/brothel. Annoyance: they decided to replace blinds shades during day when I wanted to rest.

好立地Posted Nov 22, 2015

Posted Nov 9, 2015

Not Too Bad!Posted Nov 7, 2015
I think this is a good hotel. If you don't want to fork over a fortune to stay at the Grand Hyatt next door, then this is definitely one of the better options compared to other hotels. It wasn't as small and cramped as many other hotel rooms I read about. And the bathroom was actually decent! One complaint is that there is no air conditioning in the room... But there is a ceiling fan! Secondly, the carpet was pretty stained in some areas. Other than that, the bed was very clean and comfortable, the vibe of the room was great, complimentary breakfast was great, and the staff was helpful. And this hotel is up the street from Union Square. Lots of shopping and city experience there. It's hard to find a clean and decent hotel in the city for less than an arm and a leg, but Mystic is one that I would trust to stay at again.

Nice boutique hotel in Union SquarePosted Nov 6, 2015
Cons: The shower
Nice boutique hotel in Union Square, walking distance to all shopping area. The hotel is converted from an historic building, rooms are not big but ok size. Room is clean and neat yet the water in the shower is kind of weak ( guess because the building is old ) The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful , and the free breakfast in the morning is very good. Will definitely stay at the hotel again .

This is a real find! I highly recommendPosted Nov 5, 2015
This is a perfect spot for exploring the city! The room was spacious and the staff was great. Tiffany the manager, went out of her way to help with a little mixup at registration. One recommendation, be sure to get an explanation on how to use the heater and shower. They are European! And don't miss the breakfast. It's delicious.? Enjoy!

Modern Style Hotel near DowntownPosted Nov 3, 2015
Conveniently located in the heart of downtown, a short walk from shopping, mass transit, and great restaurants. Though it is an old, historic building, the rooms are beautifully updated and a modern style. The hotel restaurant/bar is stylish and comfortable, reminiscent of a speakeasy, with a delicious menu and comprehensive selection of spirits. Will definitely stay again!

Cool hotel, Great locationPosted Nov 3, 2015
This hotel was really interesting. Cool feel and beautiful rooms. Great location and the staff (hotel and bar) was really nice. The only downside to the hotel was that the live jazz band that plays every night m-sat (on the 2nd floor) echoed up into my room (on the 5th floor) and made it hard to sleep. I had to keep my window open because it was really hot and there was no AC so that made it even louder. Overall that's not a deal breaker for me and the pros of the hotel definitely outweigh the cons.
