Good central location for walking to most sites

Solid hotel with friendly staff. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance and the concierge was happy to point them out.

Pros: Very clean and comfortable.
Cons: none.
Location: lots of things to do around the hotel with a little walk you were at the Fishermans Wharf. Great location.
The Hotel was very nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. The maid greeted you in the hall and the bellman was prompt on the door and luggage. Great experience.

An Oasis in The Dirty, Noisy, Crowded Storm

Pros: SERVICE!!!
Location: In Financial District that I liked because it was quiet.
I havent been to San Francisco in 20 years and was so surprised at how it has changed. Maybe I caught it at a bad time, but the streets were filthy with trash everywhere and the streets so crowded that we walked down towards Fishermens Wharf and just turned back due to the congestion. Anyway....this hotel in the financial district was our veritable shelter in the storm. It was quiet, clean and whoever manages the staff must have been trained by a 5 star hotel. It reminded me of the Ritz Carlton in Maui. Everywhere you go there is a smile and a "do you need anything"? They brought milk and cookies to the room every night for my girls. When I asked about the wifi fee, they comped it. When I struggled with the coffee maker, a new one was sent up immediately. You are going to pay exorbitant amounts while staying in hotels in the San Fran/Napa/Sonoma area, at least here I got my $ worth.

Pros: The courtesy and friendliness of the staff
Cons: The bath tubs need some non slip protection in place.
Location: Great location , easy walking distance to SFMoma, Exploratorium, China Town, the PIers and the cable cars run past the doorway
This hotel was in a great location for everything we wanted to do and see in San Francisco, and we could walk everywhere.

Beautiful Hotel & Amazing Staff

Pros: The staff and the customer service
Cons: nothing
Location: It is close to Union Square where there is great shopping, you can ride the tourist buses or grab a cable car for the experience.
This Omni Hotel is located in the financial district. If you wanted to be away from the touristy area of Fisherman's Wharf, I recommend this hotel. Not only is it beautiful inside and very clean, it has amazing customer service. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel with a good, reverse commute.

Pros: Reverse commute from Bay Area, good underground parking, and close to many resteraunts.
Cons: Room felt stuffy and humid, even though I kept it cold.
This was a pretty nice hotel and close to many amenities. Good, convenient underground parking. A bit removed from Santa Clara but the reverse commute morning and night made it more convenient. Tech heavy clientele. For some reason, the room seemed humid, even though I kept it cool. If it weren't for this, I would have given it a higher rating.

The hotel is in a nice location with spacious rooms. The rooms themselves are a bit dated, but it is a historic hotel. Overall a pleasing stay.

So happy with our stay and plan to return to the beautiful Omni many more future visits to SF. The hotel staff were super friendly, helpful and professional. We loved the location of this gorgeous hotel.

Great Location

The Omni is in a great location-convenient for walking to Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf, Lombard Street, and downtown. The California Street Cable car runs right past the entrance. We stayed on the 11th floor, from we could hear the occasional cable car, but it wasn't noisy at night. Rooms are comfy and clean, and the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Valet parking was very expensive, but at least we felt that our car was safe. We had heard that there are a lot of break ins into cars in San Fran. We enjoyed the free fruit and lemonade in the lobby, and if we come back to San Francisco, we hope to stay at the Omni again.
