Good location for us, 3 blocks from our convention

Posted Oct 13, 2015
Pros: Close to event we were attending - only 3 blocks away atop Nob Hill; many places close by to get a meal and close to cable cars.
Cons: They need to work on their Wi-Fi connections - it was very poor in our room, but they kept trying to help us make it work. Others had no problem.
Location: 2 blocks to cable car, 3 blocks to Union Square and shopping, 3 blocks to Nob Hill. Many restaurants close by.
Friendly, helpful staff - genuinely concerned about our needs. Rooms recently renovated - still working on halls, etc. Is what it is - older, small SFO hotel: knew and wasn't expecting a Marriott or Hilton experience. Felt comfortable being there and got what I paid for - was good value for SFO area.

An easy walk to Union Square

Posted Oct 7, 2015
Pros: Close to the shopping areas, or the cable cars. Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Our bed was perhaps a bit hard... A bit noisy at night cured by ear plugs
Location: On the corner of Post and Taylor Street. I walked to most places including China Town and over Nobs Hill. Union Square is a nice place to sit.
We had a very friendly welcome, with a quick check-in, a quick elevator, and a pleasant surprise with our newly refurbished room. After concerns about shared bathrooms and no wifi we discovered these were there, although wifi was a tad slow (but free). During our 4 days with them the staff were so accommodating and helpful, always willing to help. There was a large kitchen available to us (we were on the 4th floor) and it was well equipped. However with a superb Korean restaurant in the same block, and a cafe also (and a bar) we had no need to use it. Overall I enjoyed our stay, and would recommend a stay there.

Decent room and price-hope they finish the remodel

Posted Oct 5, 2015
Pros: Good price, clean room and bath, good location: a block off the Powell Cable line, Union Square Sears Fine Food, theaters and more.
Cons: Need to finish the rehab work.
Location: See above.
My room had been updated and everything worked. But the hotel appears to be undergoing rehab work, with no mention of that in their materials. The hotel needs the work. It was very convenient to my meetings. The staff were helpful and took care of my luggage after I checked out. When I returned to pick up my bags, no problems and they checked to see if I needed a taxi or other transportation to the airport. I hope they get all the work done as San Francisco needs good clean moderately priced hotels. With its convenient location, if you don't need more than a clean room and bath, check it out.

Good location, bad accomodations

Posted Sep 13, 2015
Pros: Located close to Union Square. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: Need chair in room, need new carpet & paint in hall & stairways.
We were disappointed with the size of our tiny room. Only 12 inches between bottom of bed and dresser. No chair to sit on, had to sit on bed to watch TV or tie shoes, both uncomfortable positions. Elevator was broken first 3 days of stay, hall & steps carpet torn, paint stained. We should have been told they were remodeling.

Decent hotel next to union square

Hotel is under construction. Most rooms have a shared bathroom and shower. TV wasn't working, elevator was outdated. Overall it was an okay experience.

위치좋고 깨끗한데 방음은 잘 안돼요.

Posted Aug 17, 2015

Nothing more than OK

Posted Aug 11, 2015
Pros: King bed, price, location was decent.
Cons: Hotel staff personality.
Location: Plenty of places to eat and shop. Just a couple blocks from Union Square. Decent area for downtown.
Stayed here for 4 nights. Only one person on hotel staff was friendly. The room was very small but clean. Elevator is very outdated but still nice to have.

Pros: Right in the middle of things, Very clean, staff great.
Cons: Finish the upgrading asap
Location: Ex location. 3 mins walk to Union Sqxare
Arrived in early,, no trouble for the staff to get me into my room. Lots of info re what to do and and staff booked me into what I wanted. Loved the ceiling fan.. quiet and efficient. Nothing was an issue to the staff. This older hotel is in the process of renovations, the carpet in the hallways needs replacing and the painting there isnt finished. My room and the bathroom were refurbished and excellent. No fridge.. which would have been nice,, but it wasnt really an issue
