Super clean!

Pros: Clean, location, & A/C
Newly remodeled and super clean. There's hardwood floors in the rooms so there's no nasty carpet to walk on. Also there was a newer individual A/C unit in the room. A/C in San Francisco is rare. You can usually only find it in your larger and more expensive hotels.

女子1人旅での利用。 けっこう潔癖です。 サンフランシスコの物価を考えれば格安。 立地はユニオンスクエアで良好。 駅からもスーツケースを引いて歩いても徒歩で大丈夫な距離。 部屋はコンパクトですが狭すぎることは全くなく、とても清潔。 シャワーの勢い、排水溝の流れもとても良い。 4泊したので生活する上で見やすい時計と、安いホテルなのにティッシュがあったのも便利。 コインランドリーが二階にあって、3ドルでたまっていた洗濯もできました。(洗剤は日本の100均で小分けのものを!) フロントのスタッフさんは優しいです。 Wi-Fiもさくさくスムーズ。 道路に面していない方の部屋だったので基本的にいつも静かでしたが、壁が薄いので廊下を歩く人や近くの部屋の出入りは最初少し驚いたほど響きます。 でも全然頻繁ではないし、全く気になりませんでした。 おすすめです!

Money's worth

We stayed for 4 nights, it's right in the city centre, union square, so it's close to everything. It's clean and well kept, and the price was a great deal. the building is old but considering the renovations taking place during our stay there's not much else to worry about. Great choice and value for money.

Good for 1-3 night staying because of close to downtown. There is a very nice guy(Alfonsso) as a personal tour leader with a very low price. Thank you Alfonsso.

Beware - unethical conduct & terrible experience

Pros: not much - we will NEVER stay in the Post Hotel again
We booked 4 nights for a Deluxe Room (private bathroom and queen bed) about a month in advance through Expedia. We paid in full and received confirmation; however, once we tried to check-in, the hotel manager refused to honor our reservation. He mentioned that we did not pay enough and he ultimately reserves the right to refuse our pre-paid reservation. While we tried to sort things out and contacted Expedia for help, we overheard another party facing the very same issue and a third traveller was informed that they overbooked. Due to a conference, most other hotels were fully booked (we suspect the manager of the Post Hotel sold our room for more money) and we had no choice but to downgrade to a smaller room with a shared bathroom and a double bed. The room we stayed in was facing the street and was extremely noisy. The single pain glass hardly muffled the street noise throughout the night. Since there was no air-con in the room, it was very stuffy but opening the window increased the noise even more. There was a small mini fridge in the room I had to unplug during the night since the motor was making excessive noise. We had horrable 4 nights and very little sleep. The shared bathroom and shower was bearable at best. The conduct of the hotel manager was overall deplorable. Upon our return, Expedia mentioned that they have a fax confirmation from the Post Hotel about our reservation – so no excuse. Expedia is now helping us to secure a refund.

Good for the price!

Excellent location, not sketchy area, one block from Union Square. Better than expected room in terms of size, cleanliness, ammenities.

Awful hotel

Cons: Staff, The way they handled the deposit on the room.
Location: Great location but no parking
Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Absolutely terrible customer service. Complete disrespect from every employee I encountered during my stay . Would not allow visitors passed 9 PM, wanted to charge $20 a person just to visit the room. When I argued regarding my family not being allowed into my room, I was told I needed to relax. Then when I went to go upstairs and my father handed me something to be put in my room, the employee thought my dad was going upstairs. He then proceeded to yell at him, and threatened to charge my card. Charged my credit card a $200 fee for the deposit prior to check out. Shoe box of a room, but I would rate the cleanliness a 3. Also there is no parking so you have to fend for yourself and find a parking garage close by. When I checked out of the room, I was told I had to wait while they check the room for damage. When the employee who checked my room came back down, the person that was checking me out of the room wrote a note on a piece of paper and handed it to the employee and the employer responds with, " there was make up on the towels but that's it," I couldn't believe how unprofessional everything about this place was. Never staying at this hotel again.

Zimmer besser als aussen, aber einige Mankos

Da das erste Zimmer nur kaltes Wasser in der Dusche hatte, bekam ich ein anderes. Dort auch nicht richtig warm aber wenigstens lauwarm. In beiden Zimmern kein Schreibtisch, obwohl recht geräumig. Bekam versprochen, einen Schreibtisch zu bekommen, ist aber nie passiert. Hotel sieht äusserlich ein bisschen herunter gekommen aus, die Zimmer sind aber recht gut.
