Unbeatable Convenience, Fair Price

Posted Jan 30, 2016
Pros: Service, price, convenience, free parking
Location: North Beach -- SF at its best
I am a repeat customer, roughly one night per year for a foray into the North Beach scene, my favorite in SF. I do not expect luxury or frilly extras here, just a clean and convenient place to stay. And that is what I get, consistently. Friendly front desk staff. Free parking? You bet! We had a 1st floor room at the back this time and it was surprisingly quiet -- rooms that face Broadway get city sounds but also great views of city life. Both front and back work for me. I will continue to patronize.

Great spot. Clean simple room.

Posted Jan 19, 2016
Pros: See above. Clean and comfortable. Lots of action on the street below so if you don't llike that then not the place for you .
Cons: Fit my needs. Could have better lighting in main room
Location: Right at Chinatown and North Beach and all it has to opper and can walk to wharf if you want but longer.
Great time. Can walk everywhere. Free parking. Never got in the car in 2 days. Nothing fancy but clean

Friendly and helpful staff, great location

Posted Jan 15, 2016
Pros: People, location, character, balcony
Cons: Wi-Fi, noise insulation, general decoration
Location: Great location in middle of Chinatown, fantastic local Chinese and Italian food,
The good bits: Staff consistently helpful and friendly, great location in middle of Chinatown, good value, balcony over street makes for great people-watching, lots of character, always felt safe, room clean The bad bits: A little scruffy, noisy, Wi-Fi poor Summary: Less sterile than a typical 'chain' hotel, ideal if you don't mind scruffy and are interested in what's around you.

Perfect location for my needs

Posted Jan 15, 2016
Came in for a work event (our home office is in the Transamerica building) and loved the closeness of the hotel. If you're looking for bells and whistles, this is not the place for you. However, if you want a place to stay that's surrounded by good bars/food etc, and is no frills but comfortable this is the place for you. I would stay here again!

Not worth to spend more than $150/night

Posted Dec 22, 2015
Pros: I was pleased to see some staffs who were really good at their behaviour.
I confirmed everything through Expedia website where it was mentioned that the room includes oven and refrigerator. But they asked me additional $20 for oven and refrigerator when I arrived at the hotel. Due to some personal need, I was bound to pay that. The room was not sound proof, so a lot of sound from the road. The room was not spacious. However, I was pleased to see some staffs who were really good at their behaviour. Finally, if you are ok with noise then you will be fine with this hotel.

Okay Motel in Great Location

Posted Nov 16, 2015
Pros: The location was great!
Cons: It seriously needs updates.
Location: North Beach pizzas and bars as well as fantastic Chinatown food.
This hotel is affordable but is rundown and old. The best factor about this place is the location. It is right at the junction of Chinatown and North Beach (i.e. Little Italy). There are amazing restaurants and bars in every corner. I would definitely stay here again if only for the convenience of the location.

Location, location, location!

Easy to find, easy check-in, lovely balcony view. Right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of China Town! The dim sum is crazy good everywhere!! Within walking distance to North Beach and Fishermans Wharf. Not modern, but an easy place to rest your head. Can't beat the price for the area!
