Homeless People Everywhere

Posted Aug 27, 2016
First of all the food in the hotel restaurant was horrible and extremely overpriced. The drinks were watered down and extremely expensive that atmosphere is tired! Second this place is impossible to get any rest whatsoever. The homeless people in front of and behind the hotel are screaming yelling and arguing throughout the entire night. Even with the windows and curtains closed they are so loud you cannot sleep at all. The view from the windows is nothing but piles of garbage and trash that the homeless people are constantly digging through and throwing around. The smell coming up from all the garbage and trash surrounding the hotel is unbearable. The hotel itself is not bad but do not stay here if you plan on getting any rest.

Serrano

Pros: Room
Cons: Cost of Valet Parking
On the edge of the good parts of S.F but close to some no so good bits, hotel was good for a quick visit with staff & rooms very good but would have to comment on cost of Valet Parking which was well over the top considering the garage is right next door to the hotel & would have been half the price if I had known its existence.

Hello Dana, That last thing we want on our guests’ mind is parking, and we’re very sorry our parking rate was disappointing. We offer onsite parking as a convenience for our guests, but there are nearby parking options as well, and we’d be happy to point them out. We want your time at Serrano-- from check-in to check-out to be stress-free!

Nice hotel, very centric. During our stay, we got there earlier than regular check in hours so they told us to wait since they were cleaning it. When they said it was "ready", we found broken glass on the floor, a dirty bathroom curtain and dirty room rug. To be a 4-star hotel Ive had better experiences. Overall staff and stay was ok except these issues, if not it would have been perfect.

Hello Anonymous, We’re very sorry to hear about these issues with housekeeping. Your room should be clean and welcoming on arrival, and we sincerely apologize for falling short. You’re right; as a four-star hotel, we take housekeeping seriously. Please know, we are passing this concern to our team—and would love another chance to provide you with a room that’s spotless!

nice hotel

Posted Aug 20, 2016
Pros: Lovely hotel, comfortable rooms. All amenities without the decor of a top modern hotel. It has retained the elegant charm of a Spanish grand hotel
Location: Great location, very near union square with easy access to everything you want to see in San Francisco
Enjoyable stay in a hotel located centrally in San Francisco

Old ornate hotel close to Union Square

Posted Aug 19, 2016
Pros: Room was clean, bed comfy and staff was generally helpful. Close to Union Square.
Cons: Main thing would be to not surprise guests with the "Urban Fee". I hate hidden charges like this.
Charged an unexpected "Urban Fee" of $85.50 onto our card. I said that was wrong but no concern by them. Bathroom tiny and sink partially blocked by a column. The room was clean and bed was very comfy. Only 2 1/2 blocks from Union Square. To the immediate south was the Tenderloin district with homeless people, so keep away from that direction.

Hello, Whether shopping, dining or sightseeing is on your list, Union Square is the place to go, and we love being nearby. (It sounds like it was a highlight for you too!) At Serrano, we think the best thing to follow a day out in the city is a clean room and comfortable bed, and we pride ourselves on offering that to our guests. Thanks for letting us know about the Urban Fee. While the fee is listed next to the nightly rate, we’re sincerely sorry if it caught you off guard. Please know, your concern does matter to us, and we hope that the benefits it included, like Wi-Fi, coffee and tea service, use of our bicycles, morning newspaper, and more ensured you didn’t need a thing during your stay. We’d love to have you back again the next time your heart brings you to San Francisco.

スペイン風のインテリアの古風なホテル

Posted Aug 17, 2016

Hello TSST, Sometimes it’s the little extras that made a stay truly exceptional, and offering plush robes and welcoming service are some of the ways we like to give it. We’re very glad we could welcome you for a second time and hope we have the chance to welcome you for a third!
