My 1 and only complaint is the parking. If the hotel had their own parking lot and actually offered discounted or free parking, I would’ve been satisfied. I paid for my stay, then had to pay $50/day for parking. That is ridiculous to me! For example. Hotel Nikko offers free parking and its valet. We took a chance to give another hotel a try but probably will not stay here again based on the parking situation!

Enjoyed the cleanliness and that the doors are kept locked unless let in by staff. The front desk does not keep staff there 24/7 so you have to be patient on when you need something. Also TVs have Limited channels and are not smart TVs which was frustrating

The one bedroom suite was perfect for our family of four. Having a separate bedroom from children for young ones to go down earlier. we enjoyed the Italian restaurant right inside the hotel. Short walk to Union Square and Chinatown. Convenient self park locations Right in the same block. The kids enjoyed the wide window sills to watch the bustling city below.

Area around has a lot of homeless. If this is a concern for you, better to avoid. However property is well kept. No coffee maker in the room.

I had a pleasant stay. Clean and well decorated room. Fast and friendly checkin. I read reviews about hidden charges so I particularly paid attention. There’s destination fee but that is every hotel in SF. They hold a deposit and deduct the destination fee when you check out. No problem for me, yet. Will update if so.

Ambience internally was nice, with friendly staff. The connected cafe had some of the worst service (breakfast shift) I've ever had in the city, prompting me to write this review which I rarely do. Outside a block away I had a friend FaceTiming with his family when his phone was abruptly snatched out of his hand and stolen, which he was unable to retrieve. Shower was cold, I guess it’s a good way to sober up from a hangover.

Hotel was generally pretty good - a bit out dated but otherwise very clean and comfortable. Noise from outside wasn’t great and they didn’t clean my room at all in a 3 night stay and facilities in room were minimal. Location also pretty good very walkable to all sorts of places and lovely clear of market street.

I had the best ever welcome from any reception staff member ever in this hotel - phenomenal - great balance of just enough info, highly efficient and got me moved through the process smoothly. I was also greeted every single time I stepped through the front door which was exceptional. The attached restaurant was v good and enjoyed the food and free coffee - food was good but some things overly expensive. My only frustration was as I was leaving. I had 4 suitcases and bags as I am moving state and had stayed here all week / I asked the guy behind the desk by the door to help - he curtly told me he was security and wouldn’t help. Instead the much smaller built and elder female came to help me instead which wasn’t expected but highly appreciated - clearly his job description says one thing only.

Beautiful hotel, but there was never any hot water in the morning for showering in the mornings. Great location with easy access to various dining options. Overnight valet was outrageously priced but there’s an easily accessible option around the corner for $40 less per night.

We love the staff the most, especially Nessa, at the front desk. She makes an effort to remember our names and is so pleasant every time we see her. We never see the cleaning staff, but they do such a great job of keeping things tidy. We are in SF a lot and we have made the Marker our go-to hotel.

Hotel would be a fine 3 star stay but they charge you for room and then steep destination fee that you only get partially refunded for facilities they don’t tell you exist and for the “convenience” of having to refill your own water bottles. Staff unwilling to help and just repeat a textbook answer back at you. Nothing is made clear about the fees when you book or check in. And it’s in a pretty undesirable neighborhood, so it’s not a destination. Overall the room was okay, felt a little old and outdated and staff was lacking. You won’t hate your stay but it won’t feel like the 4 star experience they promote. I won’t come back. Could have gotten the same for a Holiday Inn Express.

This is a well maintained and clean property in a good SF location. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was quite comfortable.
