Disappointing facilities

Cons: Clean the carpets, cleanup the parking lot. Do NOT have old mattresses in the parking lot. Remove trash under stairs.
Typical motor lodge built most likely in 1950's, doors opened directly into parking lot on a busy SF street. Facilities are dated, which is ok, but carpet was disgustingly dirty. You could actually see the walkpath of dirt from the door into the room. When I looked behind a table for a plug, the dirt buildup there was disturbing. Garbage was in enclosed space in parking lot, but an old mattress (that did NOT look appealing) was stacked next to the space and lots of construction trash was in view under stairway outside our room. We were on the bottom floor and outside out back window was an area with junk piled up and and open gate from a back road. I did not feel safe and we did not stay the second night of our reservation, taking the loss of pre-paid room. With that all being said, the bathroom was very clean and looked recently remodeled. After seeing the mattress in the parking lot, I could not shake that visual as I got into bed although it seemed clean.

I do not recommend the hotel at all. The manager was very helpful on identifying tourist attractions. However the carpeting and chair fabric seat was badly stained and disgusting. It felt totally unsafe to walk on the carpet or to sit in the chair. Air conditioning was weak and the room was hot. They could not do anything to fix the air conditioning. I know SF hotels are way too expensive because of high demand, however they need to clean the rugs and chair and make sure air conditioning works. The owner needs to take some pride and not run his hotel like a skid row flop house especially if they want to get a total of over $200 a night. What a let down.

Pros: Pulizia, posizione.
Cons: Strutturale.
Nel Marina District, quartiere strategico e ben tenuto, con tanti servizi. Hotel vecchiotto, struttura un po' cadente (nel vero senso delle parola alcuni balconi sono inclinati notevolmente e puntellati!), nulla da dire sulla pulizia e sul personale. Letti grandi con materassi scomodi, bagni ben messi e completi di phon. La posizione su Lombard street fa sì che ci sia davvero molto rumore che le finestre un po' vecchiotte non possono fermare. Comunque consigliato, da quella posizione si può raggiungere in un lampo ogni zona di San Francisco, anche se siete in auto, dato che c'è un grande parcheggio.

Unexpected location

The Lady in the front desk was nice and friendly, but when I arrived I ask her if there was any way I can occupy the room earlier, she said the room is ready but you need to pay me $25 in cash is you want it now, my kids where really tired from the trip so I accepted, when she walked me to the room a guy open the door, he was cleaning the carpet with a lot of cheap carpet cleaner and with a bucket of water , I thought it was gross I told the lady " I don't want this room My Son is going to get sick with those carpet cleaners, she aid "alright I give you another in the third floor, we went there as we walk to the room the smell was not pleasant at all , I smell the sheets and where clean but the blanket and cover where horrible they don't wash them daily only the white sheets. I didn't want to have problems and went to buy blankets for me and the kids. There was garbage under the stairs that smelled terrible, carpets are not cleaned with a steam machine and so on I hope the franchise COE visits often this places and obligate them to follow health and safety standards.

Old facility, needs improvement; near Marina Green

Pros: Easy access to where we needed to go; a great Mel's Diner down the street.
Cons: The room carpets need to be replaced. The exterior of the hotel appears very old and needs a lot of upkeep.
Location: Near Cow Hollow; walking distance to Marina Green, Ghiradelli Square
We came to San Francisco for Fleet Week 2014 and needed a place to stay overnight that was within short walking distance to Marina Green for the event. The property is definitely old and not too pleasing to the eye upon arrival. There was a full to overflowing dumpster underneath the staircase as we walked up to our second level room. Broken plastic flower pot at the bottom of the staircase but pretty flowers growing in it. Upon entering our room, which was small but adequate (2 queen beds), there was a strong odor of Febreeze or some other heavily perfumed air freshener. The bathroom had evidently been remodeled and was small but clean. Sink and vanity were in main room while toilet and shower/tub were separate. The only problem with the room was the carpet. It appeared clean (it had a dark pattern), but underfoot it felt sticky and my white socks were black within minutes.
