Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Employees were polite and helpful. Hotel location was convenient to public transportation and restaurants. We were happy with our stay and would highly recommend to others.

Perfect family hotel

The staff was super friendly and helpful. We had a car and the valet was very prompt. The room was spacious (we had a family of 3). The only issue and it is one you will have at any downtown hotel is the outside noise from sirens, delivery trucks, etc. The front desk was able to give me a set of earplug and that worked great. Would definitely recommend.

Close to everything you want in San Francisco

Cons: Laundry machines could be cleaned or disinfected weekly to prevent mold. Or a sign should be put up to air out the front load washer.
Great space for our family in San Francisco. Nice staff, clean, nice kitchen space.

Pros: Great location, friendly staff, nice accommodations, very roomy.
Cons: Better pillows. Not much to the bed pillows. Need more fluff.
Location: Walk to anywhere. Union Square close by. Close to cable car, muni, bart methods of transportation.
Stayed for 3 nights. Was able to walk or pick up cable car or muni close by. Great breakfast at Honey Honey and Taylor Street Coffee House, both walking distance. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay again!

Terrible experience at the check out

I prepaid in full 2 nights through Expedia, however on the time of check out I was asked to pay additional US $171 with no clear explanation what is it for. When i politely refused to sign the receipt to charge my card for $171, the front desk person said he is going to call the police. He did not even bother to look for the error made by the hotel itself. Had to call next day and spend 1 hour on the phone with Expedia before the hotel manager agreed to refund me for $171 in 5-7 business days. No apologies whatsoever. Imagine. That accident and the way it was held by the personell made my experience very dissappointing, which otherwise coould be quite nice. Room was very clean and comfortable, location was good. But how can you be happy if everything ended like this: $171 charge in error and the hostile front desk attitude.

Great place for a family

A nice hotel 10 or 15 minute walk from Union Square. Rooms are large and small kitchen great for making a light breakfast in the morning. There is a game room with video games and billiards. Lobby has stand stocked with ice water, coffee, hot cocoa, tea. Staff is very friendly. Tip: For a family of 4, a Lyft ride is faster and cheaper to the airport than BART. We declined the time share presentation and they did not bug us about it.

The hotel is located in a nice area of San Francisco with good restaurants nearby and easy access to cable cars (about 3 blocks). The suites are large and include partial kitchen facilities (microwave, fridge,toaster, blender,no stove) which allowed us to fix breakfast in our room. The staff were friendly and helpful, although we got a somewhat aggressive pitch on check-in for breakfast presentation on club membership. We declined and there was no subsequent attempt to change our mind. I would highly recommend this property for someone who is staying in San Francisco for several days.

Perfect stay!

We had a great time at the Wyndham Canterbury! The rooms are really nice and very clean. The service was exceptional! Definitely exceeded our expectations.
