Nice design of the hotel. But makes no sense... As no possibility to switch off the AC.. even so it is pointing at the bed at least than a Meter, water bottle at 4 dollar... And cheap, unhealthy breakfast. And no one advised that one cannot get out of the hotel after 18:00 as this is the most unsafe area in SF. We had to change hotel... Because of real security issues, and could not get reimbursed, as 0 flexibility from the staff...

I had the city room, and it was one of the most interesting hotel rooms I lived in. It was not big, but it had everything I needed and everything worked just fine.

A nice hotel overall! Rooms were a bit on the smaller side and the area wasn't safe after dark, but with planning, it doesn't pose an issue. The windows in my room didn't open, which made me a bit sad. The bed was very comfortable. The pillows were a bit too large/stiff though. I only realized there was free coffee on the third or so day of my stay, but there's a full coffee station, which is nice. The lobby music is played in the common areas which made working there a bit more difficult. There's also private phone rooms; I didn't check if the music was there as well.

I loved the windows and light in my room. I had to work from the room all week and it made it very pleasant. BUT because I was there for a week I was disappointed that there was not a place to unpack into. There were a few hangers but no shelves or drawers. The rooms was large and had plenty of space for that. Or even the use of hooks. Also there were two days when the croissants were stale one day they were actually HARD. I look forward to coming back and hopefully the restaurant will be open.

It was a cool place and kept up well. Be aware for all the extra charges you get assessed with just to stay in a room. They should tell you when booking. Now...the neighborhood is a total trip! Especially at night. People are selling DRUGS, alcohol, clothes, toilet paper, etc. in a pop up market across the street from the hotel EVERY night! There is poo all over the streets day and night so watch where you are walking. Not sure who picked the location for the hotel but they need to be fired.

Please refer to your Expedia reservation, they should clearly communicate that. And thank you for your assessment of the neighborhood although that had nothing to do with the hotel and the services we provide. We hope you find a location that very well suits you.

Good hotel with nice creative rooms and amenities for traveling for work, this is not a knock on hotel, just the city has let this area go so bad it makes for not wanting to go out of hotel after dark. Hopefully city helps good businesses like this keep people employed by maintaining the area around to a healthier and less dangerous area

The good: The rooms are very small, yet modern and nice. The staff is very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The room was as clean as could be for a hotel. I loved the lighting and mirrors in the room. The rooms are only accessible from inside the building and there’s onsite security so it’s safer than the hotels with doors that lead to the streets. The bad: It is in a ROUGH neighborhood- very homeless heavy. I know SF is known for its homeless problem but it was borderline laughable (not in a funny way) about how many homeless line the corners where this hotel is located. At one point while waiting for an Uber- a security guard told me it wasn’t safe to wait outside. It is a bit noisy BUT this will be the case at any hotel in the heart of SF. No microwave or refrigerator in the rooms. My ONLY reason for giving 4 instead of 5 stars is due to the area/homeless- which is not the Hotel’s fault. There’s nothing they can do about that. But if I was a female traveling alone or if I planned on walking from destination to destination I would definitely reconsider.

The price seems low but it's actually more expensive due to the resort fees which seem to be for nothing. No parking, no bar, no restaurant, no little convenient shop, the free breakfast is just croissants, oranges and cereal. Gym is decent, they have bikes inside for rent and even though you don't have a fridge in your room they have a communal one.

The hotel is great. The city of San Francisco that surrounds the hotel is mismanaged. Yotel had a security guard at the main entrance to get us into the hotel quickly.

the are around the property is terrible when we check in around 9pm there was about 100 homeless people in front of the building doing whatever people smoking crack at the entrances we didn’t even bother to come back for the second night due to us not feeling safe

I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The room was clean and comfortable, with a very comfy bed, although it was on the compact side. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. However, the water wasn't as hot as I would have liked. One downside is that the area surrounding the hotel is a bit rough, with a lot of homeless individuals nearby. I wouldn't recommend walking around the area at night.

Great hotel , bad area
So the hotel it self is great but the area itself is sketchy af! Not many liquor stores without throngs of aggressive transients around. If you’re there alone, just be safe and Uber places….. I’m from here and was visiting and even for me the area outside was a bit more than I expected. The hotel itself it cute tho and the staff is great and super friendly.

Do not stay here parking is far from hotel and you have to walk through hundreds of homeless people on drugs with all of your belongings . Hotel was nice but I will never stay there again! My room served its purpose as a place to sleep after spending the day touring the city. I did not feel safe returning to the hotel after dark based on the location, but it is right next to a BART stop which is convenient. It did not really feel worth the price. The staff was kind and accommodating, but I prefer interfacing with people rather than an automated self service desk.

The property lived up to its billing. My room was comfortable - could have been more spacious - and very clean. The staff was most helpful in answering my questions and even booking excursions. I had a most enjoyable experience during my first visit to San Francisco and would gladly return to the hotel another time.

NEVER STAY HERE...EVER
This was the worse experience in over 16 years of business travel. The advertised rate was not honored and a demand for increased deposits at check-in felt like a ponzi scheme. No registration desk, with over 3 groups of guests waiting in line, all to be told they have to pay higher deposits. This hotel should absolutely be taken off your list to use, and should never be recommended. Even with their security guard at the entrance door, the immediate vicinity was overrun with homeless and drug-users and sellers. The experience was nowhere near comfortable, and had to seek other accomodations. Then the refusal to issue refund is maddening. Completely unacceptable. I hope this place goes out of business. What a scam.

Basic but fine, good value
As others have said, the room was perfectly functional— lots of charging ports, comfortable bed and shower, very clean. The aesthetic is kind of minimal security prison (cement walls, minimal windows) and it felt very secure. The immediate neighborhood was very sad with lots of people, struggling with drug addiction and homelessness.

The area this hotel is in is not safe. As a man, I felt quite OK, but I would not recommend a woman staying at this hotel. The A/C in the room was very loud. I thought there will be some noice coming from the Market Street, which was fine, but the A/C was so loud I could barely sleep
