Pros: A very nice building and pretty spacious room. Staff is very helpful.Toilet facility is excellent.
Cons: Like it just the way it is.
Location: Many interesting places & townships to check out for sheer pleasure. All have beautiful sceneries. Get the brochures and go.
This area is very beautiful and easy driving to many beautiful townships within 1 to 2 hours. Road condition is very good.

albergo bello in posizione stupenda

Posted Oct 15, 2014

Perfect for short stay in the heart of La Toscana

Posted Sep 26, 2014
Pros: staff and surroundings
We were here for a weekend break. The staff were excellent making us feel at home and as if we had been regulars. The restaurant is excellent as we had lunch there and the staff are always on had to answer questions or make the right suggestions. The rooms were clean and tidy with great views across the tuscan hills, picture book stuff. We had a suite which had a little extra room and this was beautifully decorated and very clean. We had a small emergency and the staff could not have done more or be more caring, they even translated for us. The only issue here is parking. There is a car park at the back of the hotel so make sure you leave your car to the left of the car park under the trees as that is FREE. Being a castle on a hill the bags have to taken up a flight of steps, but this is the smallest of quibbles, as i received car parking ticket overnight and the staff took this from me and 'solved' the problem!! It is exactly what you imagine AND better...

Unique Experience

Posted Oct 2, 2011 on Hotels
The owners were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. Our main complaint was that the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Breakfast was nice. The restaurant was just OK for dinner. There isn't much to the tiny medieval town, but the hotel is connected to a medieval castle, which was kind of special. We ate one night at Osteria delle Crete, just down the street from the hotel and Chef Andrea made us a freshly prepared, delicious meal, and was very friendly and entertaining. The location of the hotel was good for touring Tuscany, but other towns might have more to do than San Giovanni d'Asso.
