The Babette (Hebrew: God’s Promise) is a newly built family home. The original house was built in 1967 but as the years went by we rebuilt in 2017 and joined the VRBO family January 2018. This private home is a Family Oasis and we’ve decided to share this beautiful experience with our guest.

Our humble abode is centrally located in the heart of San Ignacio Town, with that said it’s a perfect point to start exploring this Town of ours as it’s a stone’s throw away from down town with a 2-10 minutes’ walk to all major tourist attraction

Spacious, comfortable, relaxing with a home away from home experience would best describe this house. The entire home is fully equipped for families with children, couples, singles or a group of friends, to be specific it fits 10 guest with comfort. Air-condition unit in all 3 bedrooms as well as kitchen and living area. Your kitchen is fully equipped with granite counter tops, stove, refrigerator, microwave, kitchen utensils, pots, pans, plates and a double sink. A small dining area which seats 4 is also perfect for meals. We also share this space with our living room provided with cable television and a wide variety of channels... It s a home where you can spend quality time, bonding with family n friends while in comfort. I must mention we have 2 huge terrace with hammocks and outdoor furniture which is perfect for relaxing with views of our famous Macal River Park as well as the very friendly neighborhood.

Great for being in town

This was a very nice house and we could walk to pretty much everything we did in town. So many great little stalls with good food within blocks of us.

Great for a short stay!

Location is great, as it is close to the downtown area and the Guava Limb. AC worked well which was crucial as we were not acclimated to the hot humid weather. Filtered water is provided. Kitchenware is bare bones and no spices available but we weren’t there long and although we don’t normally eat every meal out, in this instance we did, as we were steps away from a variety of great restaurants.

Great Location

The Babette Home is in a great location to be able to walk around San Ignacio. It is close to many great restaurants. The owner was very helpful in recommendations for tours and questions we had. The house was very spacious and had a nice space outdoors with the hammocks. The televisions are very high on the wall and the couches were very low to the ground. Access to a washer and dryer would be a nice benefit. Overall this home was very nice for our family.

San Ignacio Babette Home

Located in the community of San Ignacio, this house was our favorite home during our travel in Belize. The back porch view faces a beautiful park where we observed children playing soccer and a impressive flute player providing us with music every night! The house has three private bedrooms with a bathroom for each. The bottom bedrooms have their own small refrigerators and kitchen sinks. The main kitchen, dining area and living room are a perfect communal area for family members to gather. Within walking distance is the infamous market and excellent dining choices! We had our own vehicle and were close to the Mayan ruins, Raptor Center and all the attractions that San Ignacio offers! This spot is definitely a gem that we hope to return to. San Ignacio is beautiful! Wildlife is bountiful if you visit the right spots!

Great location for exiribg

We took our large family group of 9 to explore some Mayan sites and do the ATM cave tour. The location was perfect for that and to walk around San Ignacio. The location was central to town, the market and many restaurants. Being in town there was a little more noise at night so be prepared for that. A great place to stay. We will be back!

The place was large and spacious, located within walking distance of restaurants and grocery stores.We had no problem parking our rental car on the street directly in front of the property.I would recommend this to other visitors.

House was amazing! Impeccably clean and very secure. Loved the bedroom set up and the rooftop deck looking out on park. Great dining options close. My only complaint was the barking dogs all night and that is something out of owners control. Would highly recommend - just bring earplugs 😉

Everything within reach

This house was was in walking distance of the market, lots of restaurants, shopping, etc.a short cab ride to Mayan ruins and most things you could get to just by walking.the house had everything you needed and it was a great experience.
