Great location - close to San Ignacio but feels like you are in the jungle. Awesome restaurant with lots of options for different dietary restrictions. Rooms are a bit dated but clean and comfortable. Kitchen was small and basic but met our needs. Best part was different cultural meals and activities every night - lot to learn and do without leaving the property! Access to hiking trail and free garden tour with the owner! Absolutely recommend this property.

Nice and relaxing, but not for everyone
This is not your typical hotel stay. If that is what you seek, you will be disappointed. However, we loved that this was less than a mile to San Ignacio, that it was off the beaten path (so minimal road noise), the natural and organic food served, the laid back, friendly, and helpful staff. The rooms are not everything in comfort, as there was no television, telephone, or clock in the room. The room door did not shut unless you used the key to keep in closed. But, it was comfortable enough (just let the hot water run for a minute to warm up). The pool was nice. Definitely an out in the country/jungle feeling. If we ever come back to San Ignacio we would stay here again. If you are looking to unwind and relax after a day of touring, this is a great option.
