“Lovely quiet area to stay. We speak very little Spanish, they were so willing and patient with communication. The porch area was lovely. We enjoyed rocking and having an evening drink. There is a small store about a mile away. We went to bed early and were so surprised that 4 other couples were there for breakfast. Breakfast was a “typical” and very good. ”

“If you’re planning to escape the city’s chaos, this is the perfect place to do it. Waking up to the soothing sounds of birdsong and the gentle cascading of a waterfall is an incredible experience. The staff, including Eric and Carla, are incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. The only inconvenience is that it’s located far from everything and everyone. “My family & I (husband, 2 boys ages 11 & 15) stayed at the San Rafael Ecolodge for 7 nights in mid February. We had never stayed in such a place before & had an absolutely wonderful time! The dinning & common areas are all open-air yet very cozy. The food is freshly made to order & is so delicious! There is numerous wildlife to see right there at the ecolodge too!
