i have mix feelings about this placePosted Apr 16, 2015 on Hotels
the hotel is located in a very good area ,but there is not really much walking around this area some stores a few blocks away . the place looks amazing from the outside but the inside is something else . the furniture is old i do my sofa had a damage arm rest the only new items is the microwave and the stove and fridge other then that everything else is just ok the pool is very nice warm water the whole time . the customer service on this place is very good. lizet the receptionist was very helpful. the person that serves the breakfast is not that great she was rude to my wife. thank fully i spoke to a lady in charge and she even got me a free breakfast . the menu in the morning is breads and cold items but the food is ok good breads. my other complaint is this i had a problem with the 2 floor air conditioner and i reported that a guy shows up he turns on the air and tells me i be back to check on it in 15 minutes ..till this days am waiting for that to happen . he never came back i dont have time to be calling over and over so fir this 2 issues i dont give this place 5 stars .

Nice neighborhood further from the airportPosted Mar 12, 2015
We had a 2 bedroom. It was clean and huge!two bedrooms downstairs and the master upstairs. Breakfast was great and the staff was awesome at helping with shuttles and finding things. It was a bit noisy and the beds are hard but I think thats normal here. Had great margaritas. Shuttle was $25 from San Jose airport. Perfect temperature pool and helpful little store.

Excellent accommodations!Posted Feb 28, 2015
Cons: Nothing - we would highly recommend this to friends, family and Expedia searchers.
Location: It was in close distance to a pharmacy, food store, eating places and down town San Jose - we felt very free to walk extensively in the neighborhood.
The place is kept perfectly clean, in a beautiful setting with front desk support that went well beyond any expectations! One example, we needed medical help - the front desk manager went with us to a farmacia (pharmacy) to translate the medical issues we were having so that the doctor on duty could help with some medicines - which worked and saved our trip. We had totally exceptional service that made up for our lack of Spanish, such as calling cabs, making tour reservations, riding the bus, etc.

Much better than a hotel room.Posted Dec 22, 2014
Pros: The extra room we had here instead of just a hotel room.
Cons: The furniture.
Location: Restaurants and grocery store are near but a car is needed. Taxi cabs are available a relatively cheap.
It is nice to have the extra room and the staff was a delight. The furniture in the unit looked a bit warn and 2 of the lamps did not work.

Excellent choicePosted Nov 18, 2014
We had a wonderful experience from the first email to Maurico asking about our dog staying in our room, to the airport shuttle pickup ( absolutely amazing service) they made sure we did not stray away at the baggage area. We were greeted at the hotel by very friendly, professional and english speaking staff. The suite was perfect for us and our small dog. We also hired a driver through the hotel for 5 hrs to conduct some business and we had by far the best person for the job, he knew San Jose inside and out, taking shortcuts and driving places we would not have ventured alone. We would go back in a minute and will on our next visit to San Jose.

Awesome Amenities and Location - Reasonable Price!Posted Oct 18, 2014
Pros: Absolutely everything!
Cons: A restaurant ... plenty in the area but room service would have been nice. We ordered a pizza from a local restaurant which never came.
Location: This aparthotel is in Escazu, handy for the Multi Plaza, Price Smart, Office Depot, Hospital CIMA, many restaurants and high end stores.
We stayed at Villas del Rio for three nights and were blown away at what $108 a night can buy. Not only were we located in high end Escazu, our suite had two full bathrooms, a full kitchen, dining area, living room, office area, bedroom, flat screen TV, private wireless internet modem and air conditioning. The grounds are beautiful and there are two swimming pools. A carwash service is offered. A continental breakfast was included, featuring fruit, cereals, hard boiled eggs, cheese and meat, toast, pastries, coffee and juice. For a small surcharge you could order an omelet, pancakes or eggs done anyway you like. The security was excellent and there was lots of parking.
