Nice Rooms very comfortable

The rooms were very comfortable and the free breakfast was excellent. The only trouble I had was with the hot water and the lack of a phone to call the desk. My husband had to go down to let them know there was no hot water. A maintenance man came up and said the breaker was off and turned it on. There was still no hot water only water that was hot for a few seconds and turned cold again. Other then that the suite was very nice.

Casa Conda. Not Good

When first arrive Taxi driver tells me do not go outside compound as it is not safe neighborhood which hotel has 30 foot high walls to protect you . From outside Hotel has that older Spanish look but inside their rooms or suites as they call it are older 1960 type furniture and kitchens. On first floor and all I could do is notice how I have a bedroom and kitchen window with a thin screen and thinner window and how easy it would be for someone to just step into the room. Safe they give you in the bedroom does not work and took me a half hour to figure how to lock windows even though someone could just push them in very easy. All night long I heard a barking German Shepard and all 4 nights that dog barked all night keeping me up. Nothing hotel could do as the dog was on the outside of the fense. People at the hotel were all high middle to upper class and all were tourist who made the mistake thinking they could see all the sites in costs rica from San Jose. The people who set the tours goal is to take all the tourist money so they don’t care what they are booking. Group from Chicago said it took 8 hours each way to go to beach on Sunday due to traffic which is normally 1 hour trip. I wanted to go to coffee plantation and they refused to tell me one was 20 min away and tried to book me 1.5 hours away which I did not have time as they did not get commissions for closer location. Desk people tried to rip me off on changing US dollar. Their buffets were excellent

Good Morning Mr. John, We hope you are doing well, We have the foot high because we are a prived Hotel, and you tell something of your troubles in the Front Desk, because when the guest report something we send maintenance, housekeeping or Front Desk going to your room for try to help you. Now in Costa Rica is the high season we have many traffic going to the beaches is normal for us in this Country. The police pass around the area every 30 minutes, we have security 24 hours, if you going to the town in San José is more dirty neighborhood because the police you see it until 6:00 pm and you see many people of limited resources stealing or selling things. If you try to go to the coffee tour why you didn´t ask to the Front Desk if you see the rate very expensive maybe we send you in uber app or contact other company for the service. Our apologies for the inconvenients during you stay with us, we working hard for fixes the issues. I am going send your comments to the manager. Best Regards,

Excellent place

Pros: Everything is a peace full place.
Location: very close to the mall, walmart and downtown San Jose. Transportation very accessible to all the places.
We were very happy with the staff, facilities and food. Over all we will defenetly go back and stay at casa conde.

Quick getaway

Highly enjoyed my stay!! Rooms were very clean and spacious. All staff members were extremely helpful and were accomdating to special requests. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had a large variety. Will definitely stay here again! Thanks Casa Conde!

Nice safe hotel with pleasing architecture and art

I had a surprisingly large suite with lots of room and amenities. I enjoyed the architecture and art work. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I liked that the grounds were guarded at all times as well.

Never Again!!! my apologies, but Horrible....

I am not sure if it was just not my day, but everything went wrong from the moment I arrived... We arrived at 10 am. I had VIP access, free upgrade and 50% for Massage service. I booked 2 bedroom. We had a trip booked the same day, so we had to leave. When we arrived , the room was not ready, and the only room I could upgrade for was "master suite". But the receptionist never mentioned, that it is just ONE bedroom. We had to move back to my original room... When we got to the room, the bathroom was absolutely DIRTY... Poor receptionist guy VLADIMIR, was so nice with us, that agreed to clean our room by himslef, as they didnt have available house keeper... I received by email from the HOTEL , 50 % off for any massage. When wanted to book the massage, somehow the lady over the phone (masseur) didnt want to serve us, because it was too cheap for her. She really tried hard to sell us the most expensive treatment, and only then she could agree fro Massage... Seriously? Now the staff decides when and which massage I can get... Also, it is really far from the Downtown and center. You have nothing to do in this area...

Expedia VIP hotel?

While outside looks nice, rooms are in dire need to be refurbished. My room was falling apart. Not sure why is this VIP hotel for Expedia..Restaurant staff are really nice and welcoming.
