Beautiful and fun gay hotel

Posted Mar 26, 2017
This is a beautiful and fun gay hotel in between SJO airport and downtown San Jose. The staff is really nice and accommodating and friendly, the rooms are unique and nice and the main hotel grounds--pool, bar and sunroof--are gorgeous.

Pleasant Place to Stay

Posted Mar 18, 2017
I stayed at Colours Oasis for eight nights and booked adventure tours every day. The staff was very helpful in terms of booking the tours, and the tour company they use is very efficient. The hotel is located 15 minutes from the noisy and polluted city center, which I prefer. One good thing about the location is that the tour buses tend to pick you up toward the end of their route and drop you off toward the beginning. For evening transportation to restaurants & clubs, you can use Uber (they don't have Lyft yet), which is much cheaper than taxis. Just be sure to ask your cell carrier to tell you how to get international service before you travel. With Uber's pre-programmed routes you don't have to communicate with a Spanish speaking driver. The hotel has a gay & progressive straight clientele, leaning toward the former. There is a nice pool & bar, which is a nice place to hang out at the end of the day, after your tour. I stayed in an economy room, which was small but clean. Good complimentary Costa Rican coffee in the morning.

Will stay there again

Posted Mar 14, 2017
I was given a big room with 2 big beds on 2 levels plus my own living area and courtyard. I was lucky as they were fully booked and gave me this room. The staff were friendly and organised transport to and from the airport. The swimming pool was excellent and the seating area very stylishly done. It was a bit away from the centre of town but once you get to grip with the local busses it is easily done.

A bit noisy til about 11pm as there is a bar attached. If you are a red neck homophobe this might not be for you.

Feels like home

Posted Dec 1, 2016
Pros: Clean, comfortable, mostly quiet.
Location: Quiet neighborhood, can arrange tours easily with Liz.
I had the pleasure of staying for a week at Colours Oasis and couldn't have been more comfortable. I am a single female and found the staff friendly and willing to help with anything I might need. The hotel is small, quaint, yet "classy". It may not have all the amendments some want (I am American, but not fussy), but there are plenty of stores and other businesses within walking distance to get what you might need. I highly recommend this hotel and it is where I will be staying whenever I return to visit Costa Rica!

Gay visitor

Posted Nov 30, 2016 on Orbitz
Pros: Friendly stuff. Feel like home because of stuffs are like your friends to talk.
Cons: Sundack is unstable floor. Strong oder in bed room if no fan is on. Very old furnitures and bed makes a lot noice.
Location: Not walking distance from hotel for food s and restaurents . Very few restaurents there, and this hotel is located in resdances area quiet neighbours.
Excellent friendly staff. Hotel food is just ok. Just want to clear of description for visitors. This is not only for gay visitors. Just a lot of straight couples, a lot of ladys and just like other hotels . Not exclusively only for gay men only. There is no air conditional in my room only celing fans. I should say GAY FRIENDLY HOTEL. Very cute swimming pool. Jacuzi is not working with hot water. Very fresh coffee. I think rooms are good rate.
