Pros: Location
Cons: It is an old Hotel, the restaurant ( tropicana) could improve the menu
Location: This was very good
I wonder who is going to reimburse me. I made reservation and paid through expedia, when we arrive to the hotel they gave us two rooms, one in the fifth floor overlooking other buiding roofs and another room in the 15th floor. I asked and was told that i can switch room the following day and they did! They put us both on the 15 th floor wich was less expensive but told us that they could not reimburse me since i ve booked through expedia. That is not fair

A LOT for your money.

My stay was very comfortable. Upside - My 16th floor room had a fantastic view. Location - center of downtown with a beautiful park directly in front. Every staff member was incredibly nice and helpful. My room was very clean. Indoor pool was large, nice and relaxing Fantastic Room Rate for such a nice facility Downside - Restaurant food was so-so (but better than any other meal I had in San Jose) Room decoration is uninspired (like most chains) .Hot tub wasn't too hot with weak streams Overall - Fantastic. Comfortable. Great Staff. I will stay here again when I return.

Laundry Disaster

We had laundry sent out, and only one item missing and they were sure I had it or they were going to be about to find it. That was last Friday, it's Wednesday (and we are home in Canada) and I have not heard from them. The Housekeeping Mgr was awesome, when we said we weren't paying for the lost item and to take the cost of the item off our bill, and if they found the item we would make arrangements to get it back to me, we would give them permission to charge our card. The GM did not like that solution but agreed. I'm so glad we did it that way. As we will never see that item again. We all knew it. Having said that - their English was excellent and their service was great; up until that point - but willing to work with us.

nice hotel, very close to center, extremely nice staff. Free breakfast was added benefit. Nice restaurant in a top floor with view of the city

disappointing

This was my second time staying at this hotel. My first experience here was much better than the second. My room this time was not as clean, we had no towels in the bathroom and the sink was barely working. I did enjoy the breakfast buffet and the pool area along with the free wifi.

Great place to stay downtown

Pros: Staff knew English and were very friendly. Options for eating were good, the bar was a good place to relax at the end of the day. Beautiful pool
Cons: On this visit found inconsistency in the preparation of food in restaurant. Could tell made by different people on different nights.
Close proximity to stores and super mercado for any needs. Great walk-ability to several museums and points of interest. Nice coffee cafes and bakeries for fresh rolls in the morning. Park across the street and the National Park which was just a few blocks away provided great entertainment and quiet places to sit and enjoy the weather.

Great Location!

Hotel was located near the town center and was walking distance to the Theater, Museum, etc. Hotel security was great as well.
