Easy check in and it’s a safe and secure property. I parked the car and Uber to the mall. It was a $4 Uber.

The view was great bu besides that you car ear every single noise surround you the pillows were terrible , the hair dryer wasn’t working and many other things. It’s unbelievable been on such a good area they don’t keep it to the expectations specially for the rate they charge you

Overall my experience was very pleasant. My only suggestion is that they show a photo of the entrance. I arrived after dark and like others thought it was a closed down hotel. Thankfully i pulled up the listing and read the reviews while sitting outside and realized i had the correct place and i just needed to ring the bell. But other than that the place was amazing for the value!! I will definitely be back soon.

Great place to stay. Close to anything you need in escazu. There’s a local bus stop directly in front of the hotel that makes it very convenient to get to the Coca Cola bus station easily. The view from the hotel is very beautiful and even better from the 3rd floor area. Will stay here again.

Don’t let the outside fool you!! It looks like it is shut down/closed. But just go to the door and ring the bell. They will let you in to the most beautiful place. The big door scared the crap out of me. Looks like a haunted house out front but it is just the door that opens at a beautiful palace!

The hotel has a great view of the city from their second floor. The room we had had a kitchenette, we only stayed for one night at the end of our trip to be closer to the airport. It has a drive thru with a gate where you can fit two vehicles. The staff will provide you with a gate opener. The room was clean and not bad for a one night stay. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating.

An ok place. Nothing to brag about. Only one other person there the night we stayed. AC worked but not very well. Very hard to find as front just looked like a gated home. Good view of the city.

We stayed in one of their smaller (and cheaper) rooms, but it had a spacious bath, good shower, lots of closet space for luggage, TV, fridge. And we had a nice dinner on the open terrace on the upper level.

Nice view, close to nice restaurants
Very nice place, room was very clean, helpful staff that speak English, excellent breakfast. I suggest the typical Costa Rica dish. Will say Stay here again when we return.

Convenience hotel
We use this hotel for overnight stays normally related to airport pick-up and departure. Staff is friendly, parking secure and location quiet and reasonably close to the airport. It is also across from our favorite Indian restaurant. Price in season is as good as off season. If you are simply looking for a clean comfortable room with breakfast, this is it. If you need amenities with frills, this is not it.

This is a great hotel for the price. Clean, modern and comfortable. Also a good location. Walk to Taj Mahal Indian restaurant or a quick drive to many more restaurants.

Best hotel we stayed at.
Very hospitable, very clean, very nice staff. We stayed at the Marriott as well and the experience wasn’t even close to the one we had at Out of Bounds. After experiencing Costa Rica for 12 days, are party all agreed that the main stream hotels aren’t the way to go. this place was our favorite smaller hotel we stayed in out of the 4. Very, very, very nice people. Close to a safe area in the San Jose area with shooing and food within walking distance. We will be staying here the next time we come. Thanks Out of Bounds for an awesome time.

Nice hotel if you are looking for a bargain
I was not told before I arrived that my room did not have air conditioning. There was only a ceiling fan and some windows which when open left you with absolutely no privacy. I am allergic to cigarette smoke so it did not help that my neighbor stood outside my cracked window and smoked constantly. The picture of the hotel is a bit deceiving because the hotel is not well lit, therefore, single women it is a little spooky returning late at night and waiting on the sensors to turn on the lights as you go up the steep walkway. There was no parking lot, only 2 car spaces inside of the gate that was facing the street. The gate opened upon your arrival if it was within office hours, otherwise you would have to use the key to unlock a side door to enter the grounds. Uber had a hard time finding this location so make sure you download Google Translate to communicate and get rides if you do not speak Spanish. There are no shops or stores close by and the street is not conducive for walking. The staff was nice but they had a very limited breakfast menu. As a matter of fact, they did not serve any type of meat for breakfast and there were several ants at times that were bothersome. I think the stay could have been better had I been more prepared and familiar with the area and especially if I had air conditioning.

Passed by the hotel for one night to take a flight in the next morning. Despite the location and the irregular and small parking area, the staff was great and the room very clean. Everything was excellent for what we needed. The view of the city from the top room was marvellous.

Incredible view
The hotel is hidden from public view. It is located on a hill with an incredible view of the city. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is great and there is an incredible Italian restaurant just down the street.
