It's a conference center as well. There's really no place to walk to from the hotel...not the best neighborhood. Staff was friendly and front desk staff speak decent English. The hotel is made of concrete, and has long meandering hallways and an unusual layout. Old- Spanish styling. The room itself was quite large with a vaulted ceiling. The bed was comfortable, the shower good. We had drinks at the bar and then dined in the dining room, which wasn't too great. Food came out lukewarm, and dried out from sitting under the heat lamps too long.
There is a central courtyard with trees and a small pond , and a pathway. Needs some work...parts are not kept up to par.
The breakfast was in a dining area on the bottom floor, buffet style. Mostly meat-based, but there was some fruit, juices, coffee, and some local cuisine. Overall, not bad.
