Incredible service and care.

Our son came down with fever and the staff was amazing. Called a doctor which turned out to be 2 paramedics who were there in less than five minutes. Everyone expressed incredible compassion and patience and concern. We ended up going to the hospital where we had the best healthcare we've ever had. Surpassed care in the US. Wow

The best choice for tour and business

I was pleased to stay in the residence hotel. Around the hotel, I enjoyed fancy restaurants and shopping malls in walking distance. The quality of free breakfast was pretty fine. The kitchen facility in the room was very convenient. I would like to book it if I have a chance to visit to San Jose, Costa Rica next time.

Hidden cost, beware!

Pros: Location, convenience, cleanliness, decor, breakfast
Cons: Put a fan in the bathroom. Quit charging penalties for late/no check in since you already charge the full night rate for missed nights.
Location: PF changes near by lol. Nice to walk around, xmas lights were wonderful. Safe and clean, lots of security folks around on two wheelers etc.
We were supposed to check in on 12/17 but our flight got delayed. After we took off late (1.5 hrs delay), we headed back to the airport due to mechanical problem. Finally, we left again and bottom line, we didn't get into the hotel till 5:15 am on 12/18. Check in was easy, the people were very nice. The room was small but adequate, very clean. The bathroom did not have a fan. This is a common problem with most hotels in CR we found. The location is great. Breakfast is very good. The one major problem is that on top of paying for two nights (booked/paid already via expedia) and staying essentially one night only, we were charged an $85 penalty for not checking in on 12/17! We were surprised and shocked but had no choice. Apparently this hotel has this policy of charging penalty. Didn't they already get my full night stay money? Why charge a penalty on top..rip off!! This was not even our fault, it's the airlines that brought so late and we had barely an hour to get ready for our 6:20 am tour of Poas etc. on 12/18. We hadn't slept the whole night, and we had a 12 hour tour just an hour after we checked in at 5:20 am!

Very comfortable

Good: Located in an upscale shopping area with good access to a major shopping mall. Taxis available any time you need, and lots of food/entertainment options. Staff is extremely friendly and makes a point of getting to know you and greet you each time you see them. Rooms are done to a decently high standard and the kitchen is great. Morning breakfast is solid. The less good: the pool is nothing to write home about; in the afternoon it doesn't get as much direct sun, and is in a very windy spot. The beds (especially the pull out sofa) weren't the most comfortable in the world. The room keys get de-magnitized just by looking at them (though as mentioned staff are extremely quick to replace them for you). If you're from North America and want a very easy transition to Costa Rica where you feel safe, this is an excellent place.

Great Location

The hotel is in one of the best location in San Jose if not the best. The staff and facilities are excellent. Outstanding breakfast which is already included on the rate.

Nice hotel central to places we wanted to see.

Went zip lining, Horse back riding. Saw waterfalls, went to the beach, vsited friends in Cartago, and toured San Jose. Great time. Everyone in hotel so nice.

Great staff

Pros: You don't need to drive, everything is closed. On Friday they have a Mexican lunch
Cons: Small swimming pool, if I have to say something. Everything was ok
