Hotel very close to the airportPosted Aug 16, 2016
I really don't know why somebody gave this hotel 4 stars rating?! The idea is very good; private estate secluded in the tropical garden in the middle of a busy town located next to the International Airport. But it's noisy and with rundown rooms. The toilet was cloaked, so is the sink, there was no shampoo or bar soaps available, no air conditioner in the room and TV was not working. The restaurant has very limited menue and drink celection is poor. They didn't even have a sugar substitute or low carbs choice of food.

Good find for late arrival or early departure but for women at 4am as flights started to leave

A lovely family run hotel with great service!Posted Jun 24, 2016
Myself and my partner stayed one night here before our flight. The establishment exceeded my expectations with service and hospitality. They have beautiful gardens and our room had double doors that opened up to the pool and garden. There could be a few updates on the property but nonetheless it was a lovely stay.

Surprisingly beautiful for the neighborhoodPosted May 4, 2016
Cons: If it were really hot, one would miss having air conditioning. There was a ceiling fan.
Didnt have time to really enjoy it. Chose it for proximity to airport for San Jose. Surprised by the nice grounds tucked away in a not so nice neighborhood. Safe enough feeling vicinity that I walked back from the airport after returning my rental car. Should only cost 3,000 colones for the cab but I was quoted $10 or 5000 colones by a cabbie. I didn't have it on me and didn't want ATM charge for so little need of money. Note that I am getting no charge from Banco Nacional using my CapitalOne card but didn't see that Banco Nacional had an ATM there.

Overnight stay before flight home after wonderful 3 weeks in Costa Rica. Huge Banyon trees in large yard and many birds made this place an oasis close to SJO airport. Adjacent creek sounds added to the ambience. Friendly staff and security were appreciated.
