Very close to Stanford Medical Center

Posted May 17, 2017
Very nice room with polite, attentive staff. Nice amenities and close to restaurants. We chose it because it is so close to Stanford Medical Center. Would highly recommend this hotel. Even has a nice breakfast!

Nice room for a good price close to Stanford

Posted Mar 24, 2017
Pros: Room was nice, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was very good.
Cons: If there are more than two people in your party, the room amenities (towels, TP, earplugs, water, etc.) ought to be set up to accommodate your party.
Location: Very, very close to Stanford if that's your destination (1 block). Centrally located, easy to find from 280/101.
Missed entrance twice, office tricky to find, and no place to park near the office, but these were minor inconveniences (for us, with no ambulatory problems) that probably cannot be fixed due to the hotels location and physical configuration. Other issues was the noisiness of El Camino Real, but the hotel obviously realizes this as they provide complimentary earplugs (!). Lots of stairs, very small & semi-rickety elevator. Front desk staff (both at night and in the morning) were helpful and accommodating, but never, ever smiled once -- they did not seem to be happy people, but that did not seem to get in the way of them performing their job effectively. No complaints about the service. Breakfast was very surprisingly varied, hot, and bountiful. I would recommend this hotel for anybody not wanting to spend a bundle for an overnight in Menlo Park/Palo Alto and not put off by the hotels little quirks.

Great location within walking distance to Stanford Shopping Mall. A bit noisy as the trains go by just across the street and the very busy El Camino Real is just out front.

Clean but noisy

It's not a fancy hotel but very clean and well maintained. Unfortunately there is a busy street nearby. The walls are so thin that the road noise is likely to wake you up in the early morning if you are a light sleeper.

I would stay here again if they moved the hotel away from the street. Everything was great except the location. The street noise is very loud. They give you earplugs in your room, but they only help minimally.

Freezing. Small. Had to wait for someone to check us in. Cost 450 for a room worth $69. Had to leave one day early and would refund us. Didn't change used towels

Overpriced and loug

Posted Oct 25, 2016 on Hotels
Highway robbery to charge this rate for a property in this condition. Just because it's a football weekend. If management wants to charge $300 per night they should at least have a $300 bed. At least the room comes with a free set of ear plugs...
