Silicon Valley Secret on the Creek Trail

Posted Jun 10, 2016
Pros: Breakfast buffet, proximity to Los Gatos Creek Trail, reasonable room prices
Cons: Fresh paint, working jacuzzi, parking near the lobby for check-in
Location: Heart of Silicon Valley next to picturesque Los Gatos, walking distance to the Pruneyard shopping area, not far from the beach at Santa Cruz
We were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed our stay at the Campbell Inn. We loved the fact that it was right on the Los Gatos Creek Trail, so we could take long walks and enjoy the local scenery. The breakfast buffet is outstanding. Our room was clean and comfortable with plenty of amenities. The room was relatively quiet given the hotel's close proximity to the freeway. The layout of the buildings is a little strange--our room number started with a 1 but it was on the second floor--but we figured it out pretty quickly. It looks a little old on the outside, but it's a great place to stay on the inside and reasonably priced for the area.

No frills hotel, nice path, courteous staff

Posted Jun 5, 2016
This hotel is nothing fancy, but is within easy walking distance of a large shopping center with many restaurants, etc., and has a nice path (given it is CA) next to a stream heading south. The staff were courteous and had no problems moving us to a different room when we requested it.

Close to everything but too much freeway noise

Posted May 29, 2016
The location was great and close to old town for some goodtime. The hotel does not take cash for payment and if you are a light sleeper, the freeway runs over the hotel which causes to much freeway noise.
