This hotel was dirty and not accommodating

Posted Jun 6, 2017
Pros: The air condition in the room
Cons: I booked the room wanting a "smoking" room. I was told during check in that wasn't the case but its Expedia's fault
Location: It is advertised as "downtown" San Jose. It took us at least 20 mins to actually go downtown
I booked this hotel because I thought it was convenient to the location of our plans this weekend. When I checked in I realized the hotel preference we choose was not available. I was told by the hotel it was Expedia's fault. Since it was too late to go to another hotel, we stayed. The hotel was also going through renovations. I wasn't aware of this beforehand. The hallways were filthy and there were visible holes and dust everywhere and it was just dirty. Our room looked like no one has stayed in it in a long time. The kitchenette was not cleaned and the bathroom had hair in the drains.

Hotel in need of remodeling.

Posted Jun 6, 2017
Pros: Good location very near the airport.
Toilet in room would not flush properly; had to immediately ask for someone to come to the room to fix it. Shower dripped heavily all night, even when completely off. T.V. remote did not work, there was no clock anywhere in the room and no tissue anywhere in the room. Was only staying there the one night, so there was no need to change rooms, which they did offer.

Uncomfortable interaction with staff

Posted May 23, 2017
When I arrived to the hotel the other evening, I walked into a verbal altercation between two guests and two staff members(shift manager and security guard) . The staff did not have ID badges and were unequipt to deal appropriately with the conflict; shouting at customers, blaming, and refusing to give their information at first. They said there was no other manager to contact at that time. I followed up with Ravi, the general manager. He explained that he had stepped in after the incident and taken action with the employees. Ravi has been in the industry for over 20 years and says he is committed to the hotel's growth. There is a possibility for transformation of this hotel and I stand for Ravi taking it on.

Really bad compared to other typical extended stay

Posted May 1, 2017
Pros: Location was good. Exterior and parking was good.
Cons: - Provide basic necessities in the room - Outside noises could be controlled - Better breakfast can be provided, or don't call it breakfast.
Location: Location was really good.
Overall, not worth the price. Multiple issues - Loud noises all night, where people sitting outside talking loudly. Additionally, Loud bang + sex started next door early morning. I understand hotel may not have much control on this part as every occupant is different, but still noises could easily be controlled. - Expedia miscommunicated breakfast. Breakfast only had a muffins, biscuit, and coffee. I won't even call it a breakfast. - Room only had shampoo + soap. No other items such as conditioner, lotion etc. - No water fountain. Only water is through vending machine

Saag, we are very sorry your were not able to experience a quiet, and relaxing stay and were unhappy with the lack of in-room amenities. We know how important it is to start your day off right with a good breakfast, so we apologize the selections at our complimentary grab-and-go breakfast didn't live up to your expectations. Your feedback is valuable to us as it will help us when planning future enhancements. We hope you will allow us an opportunity to serve you again. Sincerely, General Manager

COCKROACHES!

Posted Apr 7, 2017
Pros: Cheap - but you get what you pay for.
Cons: Too much to list right now - see above.
Location: Find another hotel.
I killed about 20 cockroaches in my room over a 3 night stay. Others unfortunately got away. I approached the front desk staff and they said maintenance would look into it, but I don't think they ever did. I have pictures of the roaches to prove it. Besides the cockroaches which are disgusting themselves - my bed was horrible. The bed is a pillow top, but had been flipped so the pillow top was facing down towards the box spring and the bottom - hard part of the mattress was facing up. I will never book an Extended Stay again!

Decent hotel for a quick stay

Posted Mar 30, 2017
I stayed for a night. I checked in very late. Hotel front desk guy said he is not a front desk guy buy working as one for that day. He doesn't know what he is doing. he denied a room for another person who came next to me. Room doesn't have information how to call the front desk. I called centralized customer support and asked for the number in the room intercom. they didn't give me wifi access code. I called their tech support and got that. They didn't tell me anything about breakfast, any details about it. Its a OK grade hotel.

I stay at the extended stay in Reno, BIG Difference,,, Will not be returning to the one in San Jose

Leonard, please accept my apologies for the cleanliness issue in your room. We are sure this was a result of miscommunication between our Housekeeping and Front Office Departments since a room should not be made available for occupancy until the cleaning process is complete and it has been inspected by a supervisor. We hope this isolated incident will not keep you from returning to enjoy a great experience next time. Thank you for your feedback, it helps us get better. Sincerely, General Manager
