This hotel was clean, but very old. Since the gate of parking closes at 9:00 pm, we have to park open parking area when we got back to the hotel after 9:00pm where homeless people staying in the cars were around. We saw shuttered glasses of car window on the ground. We felt unsafe and moved to another hotel. When we asked to change one dollar bill for laundry at the front desk, she said we did not have quarters.

The ambient was nice. The closeness to the freeway was irritable to my ears. The bathroom was decent but could tell there was some work done which made the feel a bit questionable. The room phone was a bit dirty as it had food residue on it. Other than that, the room appeared clean.

This hotel is a "Hidden gem" very nice and quiet. Room spacious, clean and cozy.
Perfect if you just want to get away and relax.
Location is great about 15 min drive to Santa Row and mall.

Great hotel! However, the point of a hotel is to have a place to sleep. I asked if they could put my room away from other rooms if they could just because I have had noisy neighbors in the past and didn’t want a repeat. The lady said she could absolutely do that. Alas, my room was right next to a party that talked and watched tv into the early hours of the morning. I slept about 2 hours. Had the noise not been an issue, I would give this hotel a full 5 stars.

I liked the proximity to all the restaurants, but I did not like the bed. It was not comfortable. The furniture was ripped off.

I have stayed her a few times for work over the years. This past trip solidified the following: 1) Poor repair/cleanliness: the rooms have not been well taken care of. The carpet and bathroom laminate looks very old and dirty. Doors in bathroom look liked they have not been cleaned and lights/surfaces generally felt sticky. One of the rooms I stayed in previously had a huge rip in the carpet. Pillows are uncomfortable. 2) Virtual check-in: Wasn't a big fan. Took longer than would otherwise and did nothing to make me feel more safe. I think I'm done staying here to save a few bucks.
