Horrible staff for all 3 nights we stayed!

Posted Nov 26, 2016
My family and I stayed here for 3 nights (Checked in Friday and checked out Monday). Upon booking I called the front desk to verify if we will be getting continental breakfast, the lady I spoke with assured that it was for our party of 4. Saturday morning my family and I walked down to the front desk and asked where the breakfast was held, and was told that we did not have breakfast included with our booking. They said there was NOTHING they can do, did not offer anything else. Saturday night, coming back to our room, I thought I'd ask a different shift of staff. Again, they said there must have been a mistake as our room did not include breakfast and did not offer any other alternatives. Come Monday morning, I bring my left over food from dinner to heat up. I asked the front desk personnel if there was a microwave for me to use, she said no! But directed me to the hotel's restaurant. I was confused, I asked her if she was sure that the restaurant will let me use their microwave, she confirmed yes. I walk over to the restaurant and asked the hostess, the hostess said she did not have a microwave for us to use and that there was prior communication to the hotel that they are not allowing guests to use the restaurants microwave. To my understanding almost every hotel should have a microwave option even if it's not a free service, the front desk staff did not offer that or anything else. My family and I were very very very disappointed and disatisfied with our stay at the San Jo

Comfortable and convenient

Pros: Clean
Cons: There wasn't breakfast available. You had to go to the restaurant next door.
The location is right off of the freeway. The staff is friendly and check-in was a breeze. We had several rooms and they accommade us by moving the rooms to the same floor.

Pleasant to stay but slightly far from the market

Posted Oct 19, 2016
Location: close to the hotel is a great mall. You can shop or eat there. Price are acceptable
Overall is a nice hotel. I booked in total 8 rooms from expedia, but while we were there for checking in at around 10:30pm, the reception denied to accept the vouchers with the reason that it was not all confirmed by expedia! After debating and waiting for an hour, she finally approved to issue the rooms in accordance with the voucher I showed her. facility fitness center, swimming pool, wifi ( will be charged $11/day) is really unpleasant for foreigner to stay. There are noisy sound from other room near you while you want to sleep, which means that the room is not enough soundproofed so that you still can hear what your neighbor are talking or shouting!

Thank you for your candid feedback. We apologize for the inconvenience that you experienced upon check-in, it was a system glitch that prevented the automatic transfer of your Expedia reservation to the hotel reservation system. It has been fixed and we thank you for your patience while we resolved the issue. We will continue to work on improving the guest experience using the feedback that you provided. We hope to see you here again when you come back to the area.

Sheraton San Jose

I stayed here for a 4day seminar. The room is spacious, cool and very clean. I love that they provided a sponged in the bathroom as I forgot mine. The restaurant offers a simple menu, food was good the service was excellent! The check in was a breeze, front desk very organized, friendly and helpful with a beautiful smiles. Even though the hotel is located within close proximity to the freeway, i didn't hear any traffic noises in the room. This hotel is also located very close to the Great Mall. I will definately come back!

poor quality!

Posted Aug 3, 2016 on Hotels
The Sheraton is a hotel that's been around for years, I expected quality and I didn't get that. The inside appearance, the base boards on the floor was all pulled up, the hallway light fixtures on the walls, some missing with electric cords sticking out. My room was changed three times-the first time, the TV wasn't working, the electrical outlet where I attempted to charge my phone, a spark was visibly observed, so I couldn't use the outlet. As it relates to the TV, I was brought a different remote control, the TV still didn't work. For those reasons, our room was changed. Once reassigned to another room, we opened the door of the heater (photos attached) to adjust the heat in the room, as the room was cold. Well, the wall heater, fell/came apart from the wall. We had no heat at all. Hotel manager Michael was notified, he came up to our room and attempted to resolve the problem, but to no avail, the motor on the heater ran and we still had no heat. Our room was then upgraded to a suite. It was late, after midnight, before the issue was resolved. For those reasons, even though our room was upgraded, I wouldn't choose to stay at the Sheraton in the future. Also, if the hotel was under construction, there were no signs indicating this at all; that would have been helpful as I mentioned it to the hotel manager.
