We had an ok stay here. Pros: -close to Stanford Uni and Stanford Medical Centers. -very close to restaurants. Lots of choices nearby (walkable and driving) -pretty clean in the room. -shower had good water pressure. -breakfast was a nice perk. Cons: -the beds in our room were very uncomfortable. I think the mattresses were old and not fluffy at all. The pillows were flat and I woke up with an awful neck pain. -it’s an old motel that they tried to gentrify. It still had an old musty smell when you walk in. -carpeted rooms.

We stayed here for two nights. When we drove up to the property we were pleasantly surprised. It is a cute small hotel. The gentleman who checked us in(it was late at night) was very friendly and answered our questions with a smile. When. We got to the room it was actually a big room and had a small balcony with two chairs. Our view was of the street, bit in the early morning, was nice to sit and have coffee. The area is not bad at all. We will definitely stay there again of we come up to that area again.

Lovely hotel and we enjoyed everything but the location . On the corner of a busy through way . Motorcycle and Revel up cars made it super noisy. Maybe the rooms towards the back of the property are quieter?!

Last year we stayed there quit often as we are Stanford patients. It was perfect, nice stays This year, we came back, found that quite a lot of changes happened. No free water and little snacks at front desk. In room has no teas. Breakfast has limited items such as less types of tea bags, less pastries etc.. Overall, it is still good but not as before. When we called to ask for a request for our desired type of room, front desk did not take notes (assigned us upstairs even we called to have downstairs due to handicapped husband) . Luckily, they were able to change for us then, so our call was a waste of time.

Unsafe for women. Location at the room by the street and driveway not good. Upon arrival to my assigned room 206 the door was wide open. In the room both of the beds had some type of oil on the top sheet at the head of the bed. Had to cover with towels to sleep do to the late time frame and pajamas.

I would not recommend this location for long-term stays, or if you need a quiet space to get rest after work. I would not recommend using their washer and dryer facilities, the washer is old and does not wash well and you will end up washing your clothes twice just to get the soap out. My experience with one of their front desk, staff members named Dimas, was very poor. When asking to get refunded for the wash to re-rinse my clothes, the man was rude and argumentative and made assumptions that I washed too much clothes. I was only there for five days for a work trip. Additionally, I used soap that I purchased from their front desk. Outside of the facility is nice, but inside my room it’s very clear that it was old, dingy and stained. Even the curtains had holes in them.

Quaint older model that has received some modern updates. Rooms are small but comfortable. Their breakfast in the morning is surprisingly full featured. There are more rooms available than you would expect looking at the front facade, as the property extends back some ways. Staff is friendly and helpful, though somewhat limited overnight.

Really nice makeover of an older motel. Safe and quiet location. Stayed night before and night after surgery at Stanford and the Zen hotel was perfect for this. Hot breakfast with lots of choices. Reasonable cost for this market. We would definitely come back.

Good location in Palo Alto, close enough to pretty much everything. Comfortable bed and nice towels. Includes breakfast which was okay, nothing that special. Would stay here again.

It’s a nice place to stay. Free breakfasts. Not too many places to eat near the hotel, but it’s close to Stanford.

The room had a leaking water sink it soaked the carpet in the sink area there solution was to lay towels down that were soaked very unpleasant stay I asked for a nice room but it was mediocre at best I would not attempt here again
