Thank you so much for your visit and your feedback. Please keep in mind, that everything on an island is much more expensive than on the mainland. Just think, everything, from gasoline to coffee, from nail to bed, needs to be shipped or flown over. Taxes, wages, utilities, especially drinking water, are a lot more. You as our guest will see this reflected in our room rates. Having said this, please come back some time in the shoulder or quiet season, when the weather is brilliant (curtesy of the Olympic Rain Shadow), we offer amazing specials and you have the beaches to yourself. We hope so much you had fun on our island and to see you again.

Pros: Just said

I just did - not good - will not return. Facilities and staff are medicore at best, With a bill of 253 per night (including taxes and fees), mediocre is not good enough. Will no longer trust your ratings

Location is amazing!!

This is the best hotel to stay in at Friday Harbor. Yes, you can get closer to the bay or ferry station but this is out of the way yet so close to downtown you can easily walk to grab dinner or go look at the boats. we had a bunch of kids in tow and found this hotel to be great for families. The walls are thin and he could get a little noisy in the evening but they do provide earplugs for the nighttime. The hotel was beautifully clean and arranged and had Keruig coffee in the room, a nice pool area and free bike rentals for exploring!

It's a great place in a great location. It really was a 5 min walk right into Friday Harbor, so we didn't really need a car to go there. Room was great as well. Hopefully we can make the trip back there

Pros: convenience to everything
Cons: earlier check-in due to ferry schedules
Location: ngreat restaurants and whale museum and reat shopping
room was precharged and had to pay a second time at check-in. Now have to deal with expedia and chedit company to resolve.

I know it is in a resort town, but for the price I felt like I was staying in an expensive motel 6 !

Not a good value

Posted Jul 24, 2017
Pros: Very centrally located, free bike use, pool area, Pelindaba Lavender Farm products to use in rooms.
Cons: WIFI, room rates
Location: Great location- a few blocks away from the Harbor with plenty of shops, restaurants, and whale watching tours.
Weeks before our stay I emailed the staff to see if early check in was available, said they would do their best. At 8am when the office opened was told no room would be available until about 1:30pm and they were able to get us in around this time. This hotel is more motel style in that it's 3 or 4 small buildings with rooms all opening to the outside. The room itself was decent, nothing special. My favorite part of the room was that there are products from Pelindaba Lavender Farm for use. Being from New Orleans the lack of AC was tough as we are very accustomed to it. Had to sleep with the window open and the one fan running full blast at all times. We were on the bottom floor and it seemed every guest around us made sure to stomp as loud as possible. The kids were the worst, constantly running up and down the stairs. Probably why there are complimentary ear plugs in the room. The WIFI was a total disappointment, barely worked our entire stay. Complained to the front desk and they claim it's due to the fact the entire Island has poor reception. The pool area was nice. Overall, I was pretty disappointed because this room was ridiculously expensive and didn't translate to a good value at all. We would have stayed on the Island longer but it was cheaper to stay in Canada. The best thing about this hotel is that it is very centrally located and you can walk pretty much anywhere in town easily. Next time I visit the area I will book earlier and stay at a different hotel.

Hi Ashley, Thank you so much for your visit and for taking the time to give us feedback. We very much appreciate it. We are so happy, you liked our location and amenities and had fun on our little island. We are so sorry we didn't meet your expectations. Yes, things are a lot more expensive on an island. Wages, taxes, utilities, especially drinking water are much higher than on the mainland. And just think that everything, from gasoline to coffee, from pillow to cup, needs to be shipped or flown over. You as our guest see that reflected in our room rates. Our wifi is the best available on the island right now. We just don't have the same infrastructure as the mainland yet, but there are island wide plans in the works to change that. I'm so sorry you were disturbed by other guests. Please know for next time that we have quiet hours from 10:00pm to 7:00am and we do enforce them. You can find our night manager's phone number on your invoice, in the guest directory in your room and on the lobby door. Please consider coming back some time in the shoulder or off season, when we have amazing weather (thanks to the Olympic Rain Shadow), run awesome specials and you have the beaches and half the hotel for yourself. We can't wait. Sincerely,

Nice hotel walking distance from restaurants

Posted Jul 15, 2017
We had a great time. The hotel is true to its promise. An old motel renovated, it's decorated with great taste, extremely clean and comfortable. And the location is great, right by the Harbour, walking distance of restaurants, shops and studios.

Great location.

Walking distance to everything this was a great choice for our stay. The staff was all very helpful and pleasant. The room was clean and spacious. Our unit didn't have AC but it wasn't necessary with the breeze coming in. This hotel did a great job of Renovating yet keeping and reusing what they could. We would definitely stay here again!
