The room for a best western plus the not good. The hotel looked like it was in the middle of a small renovation. Our front door wouldn't lock which made it extremely difficult to get in the room. There was no ac unit, just a ceiling fan and a small fan that was hidden in the closet. The walls were very thing and you could pretty much hear complete conservations next door. The staff didn't speak much English and was unable to tell us that she came into our room when we had placed the do not disturbs sign and she took our towels. So we had a night without towels. There were also several thing that went missing from our room, drinks from the mini fridge, earrings left in the bathroom counter, and shoes. We looked all over and even asked the house keeping staff and they had no idea what happened. The front desk was also unable to help, this is extremely disappointing to have happened and stuff get taken.

Thank you for your feedback. I am so sorry to hear your stay with us was unpleasant. As you noticed, we are in the process of completing some upgrades to our property. We try to plan this around our guests as best we can. We take your feedback very seriously and are disappointed to hear your do not disturb sign was overlooked. I have to mention that a majority of our Housekeeping staff has been in our company for many, many years. The person that was in charge of your room is our longest running employee to date(she has been here a bit over 20 years!) She is very trustworthy, and we have never had any issues with things going missing from rooms. We all are human and she feels really bad that she didn't notice your sign was up, so she wanted me to make sure you knew how bad she felt. Again, I'd like to apologize for any and all of the miscommunications during your stay. We are all on the lookout for the missing items, we will contact you right away if they are found.
Also, sorry we don't have A/C units in our hotel, it's very rare that it's needed in this area, we usually have that cool ocean breeze to act as a natural cooling system.
If we could get you to come back and give us another try, we would love to make things better. If you are interested, please contact the hotel direct, and ask for Angela or Jill and we will make sure you get the best room with the best rate. I'm sorry things didn't go as well as they should have, but we would love to have a 2nd chance and make things right.
