The room service did not have the curtsy to knock the door before coming in. They tried to open the door by force at 9am in the morning which is very unprofessional.

The fact that i got there at 1 pm and was told my room was ready. But because it wasnt 3 pm id have to pay an extra $50.00 to get in my room. But my ad said adter 11 am.

The property is quite outdated, like our tv didn't work and the heater wasn't functioning. However, staff is quite friendly and professional. Guests seemed to be having a good time at the hotel, which is always a plus.

The rooms are not clean. The staff is unfriendly. Don't expect daily clean towels or room service. Even if you request it, you will not get it. The location is the only great part of this hotel.

Warm Welcome!
The last two years we have traveled to Pismo Beach for a weekend baseball tournament. The previous year we had booked a room at a different hotel and arrived to find mold and ants occupying our room. We scrambled to find another room at a different hotel that was better, but not by much. This year we chose to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn and it was wonderful. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The room was spacious and the facility was extremely welcoming. I highly recommend this hotel. Sometimes checking in can feel like an interrogation to determine if you should really be there. It cheapens the experience. The Hilton Garden Inn Pismo Beach check in process was warm, inviting, and made me feel very welcome. This is a waning skill in the service industry so it was nice to feel like I belonged.

minor issues - parking fee, Dog hair, No food
Parking Fee for a non-downtown, non-Valet ample parking lot. Pet friendly but room carpet had lot of dog hair. Breafast is good but they run out food and do not replace - get there early !
