Lovely hotel located in central Paso Robles

Posted Sep 16, 2016
Pros: The staff, location and breakfast!
Cons: The bathroom was a bit small. However, this did not detract from our enjoyment and we found this true of other hotels we stayed in.
Location: Paso Robles is the centre of a wine producing area but also near to Cambria and Hurst Castle and beaches for viewing wildlife including seals.
If you are reading the Lonely Planet Northern California guide ignore what the reviewer says about this hotel and book it! The hotel is located in central Paso Robles within walking distance from local restaurants and is ideal for those wishing to explore this wine making region. The hotel is built around a courtyard which features a central fire for sitting outside sampling the local produce on chilly nights. The room was large with a very comfortable bed, although the bathroom was small in comparison (we found this to be true of other hotels in California). The hotel staff were friendly and polite; the receptionist on our first night could not do enough for us. Each morning guests receive a local 'what's on' guide to wine tastings and other events to help them plan their day. Breakfast is self service and unlike many hotels we stayed in California is included in the room rate and not charged for additionally. We spent nearly three weeks in California staying at a variety of hotels and of all of them this one was the most pleasantly surprising. Would definitely go back.

Great Paso Robles Hotel

Posted Jul 7, 2016
If you are going to the Paso Robles area, this is the best hotel in town. It is small, quaint and in walking distance to everything in downtown area. Staff was very friendly; nice full breakfast was included every morning and a wine happy hour as well. Will definitely go back!

Was a wonderful place!

The staff and location were perfect. After a busy day you can enjoy a nice glass of wine at the Pony Bar and then walk to a restaurant for dinner. Many to choose from! Beautiful outdoor space including fireplaces. We will return.

Nice Hotel

Posted May 4, 2015
We spent one night at this quaint hotel. Upon check-in (we were able to check in early @1:30) they didn't have us in a room with a fireplace, but quickly changed it and put us in a room with a fireplace. Jennifer recommended several wineries and an olive oil place and we went to all of them (some she even had discount cards which helped us). Later that night at the hotel wine tasting, we got a referral for a good taco place. Later, we enjoyed the lovely outdoor fireplace and fabulous s'mores prepared for us by 'Nam'. Complimentary continental breakfast was way more than 'continental'. It was a great spread and we thoroughly enjoyed it.. I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone.

This is the best Paso has to offer! Great rooms, very friendly staff, great outdoor lounge, nice buffet breakfast and wonderful outdoor fire places where you can meet fellow guests and talk about the wineries you visited!
