Well overpriced for what you get. Online photos don't reflect what you get

Good value hotelPosted Oct 4, 2015
Pros: Good price.
We stayed here on the way from Monterey to LA. The hotel was good for the price. The staff were helpful. Breakfast was pretty basic. Short drive/walk down to the pier and beach area.

Not what we expectedPosted Sep 27, 2015
Pros: The wine and cheese time in the evening was wonderful.
Cons: The staff could be more accommodating when it is really hot out, like it was.
Location: There is lots to do nearby and it was a close walk to the water.
The hotel was not what we expected. It looked a lot nicer in the picture. It was a hot day, and there is no air conditioning. The staff did not tell us about a fan we could use, and we didn't see it until we were checking out. We had to leave the sliding door open to get air, and our room faced the freeway, so it was very noisy.

Nice hotel, Good locationPosted Sep 23, 2015
Pros: Great Location
Great location -walking distance to beach and partial view of Morro Rock Stayed mid week -good value, with breakfast included. Staff were helpful. Spa has nice roman decoration. Gym is small, but to be expected for a hotel of this size.

Friendly staff, minimal comfortPosted Sep 17, 2015
The staff were warm and friendly, and the room was clean, but the comforts are few. Sounds traveled through thin walls and through the door to the hallway, from which we could hear guests coming and going (including at 3 am!). I'm glad we only needed a place to crash, because that's all the hotel offered.

It was really nice and quiet, just what we wanted.Posted Sep 16, 2015
It was such a nice touch, having nightly complimentary wine and cheese as well as a continental breakfast. I would stay there again.

Convenient location, but dirtyPosted Sep 8, 2015
Below expectations for the price charged. Dirty carpets, towels and linens of dubious cleanliness. Noisy room adjacent to the main road and the guest laundry. I'll find somewhere else the next time I go down there.

Nice hotel, surprise "peek" of an ocean viewPosted Sep 1, 2015
Pros: Location, amenities
Location: Spent all our time in SLO, where there are lots of restaurants and other attractions. Would like to return and check out Morro Bay.
wine and cheese in the afternoon, breakfast in the morning, and a "partial" ocean view, all for a very competitive price - will definitely be back

Motto BayPosted Aug 27, 2015
Pros: Fantastic in door spa. Big rooms.
Cons: Air conditioning could be added
Location: The Morro Bay Embarcadero, Morro Rock, nice golf coarse close by. Thursday evening the farmers market in San Luis Obispo is a must see.
This is a very nice hotel. It's starting to be a little dated but still nice. It's a little walk to get to the embarcadero but not unmanageable. The inn has two floors and no elevator. The continental breakfast was fine, waffle maker, cereal, toaster, hard boiled eggs, juice, coffee.

Nice enough, but no ACPosted Aug 26, 2015
Pros: Close to downtown.
Location: Close to the waterfront.
I stayed here with my husband and two kids. The room was very clean and attractive. We had a small (not for actual use) balcony with slider to let in the fresh ocean breezes. The spa was nice and quite large, with a big sign saying no one with diarrhea allowed! Kinda funny. They offer snacks in the evening, including wine and have a small breakfast buffet. Both were ok, nothing too fancy. The desk clerk couldn't have cared less about greeting customers or working. The biggest issue for me is that the hotel does not have AC (or didn't in our room) and it was devilishly hot in our room. I laid on the floor in front of the slider to sleep (until a police siren zipped past our room at 3am). The floor was as comfortable as the bed. It's close to everything, but not fantastic.
