    Fun family weekend

The beds were surprisingly comfortable. It is a family hotel. The pool was always busy, but their were no steps into it so I couldn't use it as I can no longer do ladders. It was close to town. The beach was a bit rougher than some of the other ones.

This was a clean and pretty property right on the beach, we loved the beach entrance. I went with my parents and sister (family vacation!) and Melaque is the cutest little town. Las Hamacas is perfectly located and we were able to walk to downtown for dinner.

    • Liked: Cleanliness
    • Disliked: Amenities

I liked the proximity of the beach, but the hotel itself was barren of amendities. The rooms are large, painted all white and lack any color or personality. Not one picture, not one vase. A very minamalist hotel. The first night the staff forgot to provide soap.

I’d stay there again. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Perhaps it may have been a misunderstanding but I was led to believe that this facility was ALL BUNGALOWS as their name states. It wasn't until check in I was told that two of my rooms were bungalows and one was just a room, even though I paid the exact amount for each room. The room was about as bare bones as it could possibly be. I chose this facility because it seemed like the best place to stay in Melaque and perhaps it is; I am not sure if every other place there is worse. The PROS: great air-conditioning and ceiling fan and nice check in staff. The room I got (#13) was a tiny room with two hard beds and worst of all it was actually part of a connecting room so the only thing separating me and my wife 9who were celebrating our anniversary) was a chintzy door and the loud family next door didn't allow us to get much sleep as it seemed they were sleeping with us. Also, there are almost no amenties. You get two tiny quarter sized hand soaps and 4 towels. No shampoo, no wash cloths, no hand towel, no extra pillows, no fridge, no tissue, a half rool of toilet paper, no table, no dresser, no hair dryer, no towels for the pool or the beach, nada (in 13). I do not understand how they could charge me the same amount for a shell of a room? I wish I could stay there again but this experience was pretty awful. I did not expect a resort but geez, no wash cloths to bathe or table to sit at in room? Not recommended at all!
