All was peaceful and perfect

Posted Nov 4, 2016
Location: We were there for the golf and played both days. My only criticism is that they have 3 x 9 hole courses yet strategy 4 balls 2 and 3 balls together.
Good value for money and a great relaxed atmosphere.

Smart hotel away from tourist hot spots

Posted Feb 22, 2016
Pros: Very friendly staff - apart from one barman who had strange attitude. Asked for order from bar if within hearing distance rather than coming to table.
Cons: Some alternative eating options. Fine dining in restaurant good but something plain with more veg / salads in clubhouse would have been nice.
Location: Only one place to eat without driving or a very long walk.
Stayed for a week to survey the general area as a residential location with friends who were considering relocation. About 1.5-2 hours from Malaga airport. Not a difficult journey. The complex overall was very high quality with golf courses, secure residential areas etc Was good value comfortable stay. The views were superb. Was only 14-15C - very unusual. Could heat room no problem but dining room and bar a bit chilly.

A jewel in Spain

Posted Jan 8, 2016
Pros: No 1 - the staff. Attentive and friendly and welcoming.
Cons: Tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
Location: Sotogrande is an area of exceptional beauty, with developments which in the main gave enhanced rather than scarring the natural advantages.
Out of season, this hotel was quiet but still offered excellent facilities. Set in green landscaped grounds, with exceptional staff, the ambience was one of quiet luxury. Surrounded by golf courses, this would be a golfers paradise. However, as non golfers we enjoyed the spa, gym and peaceful walks. Very friendly to dogs, the reason we chose it!

Golf and spa resort .

Posted Aug 1, 2015
Excellent golf and spa resort, very welcoming staff, very quiet in the evenings though. You will need to get a taxi to the Marina , 20 Euros, where there are several restaurants and bars Polo at the port is worth an evening visit pop up bars and shops whilst watching the match, very nice

Clean and comfortable hotel

Posted Aug 14, 2014
Great value hotel with golf, sea and hillside view. Staff are attentive, rooms comfortable and wealth of facilities not reflected in the price. Great spa, three golf courses to choose from and swimming pool. Food fine at breakfast, but recommend eating out in Sotogrande marina or elsewhere for dinner. Good lunch at the clubhouse. Only comment would be to have an adult only swimming pool given the wealth of children around the main pool in summer holidays. Highly recommended.

Great hotel on golf course

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: Rooms and staff were very good.
Cons: A proper restaurant for a la carte dinner, as Gaia does not seem to offer that anymore.
Location: Five golf courses including Valderrama, Costa del Sol, large UK expat population makes for easy communication for non-Spanish speakers.
Excellent hotel, rooms in small buildings (4-8 rooms per building) surrounding central hub. Staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast excellent, dinner buffet decent but not measuring up to the rest of the experience. Concierge has good recommendations for local restaurants, so no problem.

Much to be happy about!

Pros: Good facilities, very friendly and helpful staff at reception, driving range, the caddy master, especially the restaurant. Breakfast buffet fabulous.
Cons: Allow access to the spa for classes or a swim low season without euro 18 fee. Offer smaller, simple supper other than buffet.
Location: Beautifully located. Tennis, golf, beach, swimming, eating, looking at the marina, sailing, padel, kite surfing, relaxing, walking, paint balling.
