Wonderful place, was worried about its locationPosted Oct 8, 2016
Pros: The view to the city, & proximity to the beach. Walking distance.
Cons: Price was good, very clean, a bit noisy through the walls.
Location: Perfect location, walking distance to everything.

Hotel located in a quiet areaPosted Oct 7, 2016 on Hotels
The sheltered city of San Sebastian has so much to offer and a stay in Hotel Avenida complements any visit - the property is located mid-way on Mount Igeldo and is only a 15mins walk (down slope) towards the La Concha beach. I will stay here again if I return to visit the city!

Stop of on the way home to the UK.Posted Sep 5, 2016 on Hotels
I had driven up from Marbella, and not realised the Hotel had no restaurant or bar or tea facilities in the room, which was hard after a long drive. You can order a drink from the reception, but only between 6.00pm. - 8.00pm. The Pet friendly room was like staying in a kennel, but at least the hotel takes dogs. The Hotel staff were lovely and only too happy to please, but tuff to have to go out to find food when really all you want to do is rest up, have a drink and enjoy a peaceful meal while admiring the wonderful views from the Hotel.

Family of 3Posted May 15, 2016
We stayed at this hotel last year and tried it again this year. Last year we found it to be very noisy with people shouting in the hallways at all hours of the night. We suggested they put up a sign in the elevator and the staircase to remind people to be quiet during the night, they thought it was a good idea and said they would but we didn't see it this time. The hotel was quieter on this stay luckily.

Cute hotel, nice lobby with a view! The rooms are a little bit small and there is no ac. Also it's a little further from down town San Sebastián.

Not bad for one nightPosted Jul 28, 2015 on Hotels
GOOD Swimming pool is good but there is only a small part that is not deep and it is shaded by 5:00 pm. Nice size bathroom and bedroom. Good to have an electric fan instead of air con. Reception were friendly and spoke English. Location good for car travellers with car park right outside, and bus stop very close to get into the centre. BAD Very hard bed, pathetic shower pressure.

Surprisingly pleasant!Posted Jul 27, 2015 on Hotels
Turned out that the Avenida was one of the few options available when we decided to head to Pamplona the weekend of the running of the bulls at the last minute - but it turned out to be great. Given that we barely spent any time in the room, and nearby buses were running often and around the clock - it turned out to be a perfect place to use as a base for our weekend in Pamplona. Basic room and basic amenities, but quiet, clean, and the staff were really nice and extremely helpful.
