Outside of main tourist areas but easy walk to both old city and new. Staff was helpful and courteous and hotel was beautiful. Very well-appointed and comfortable. We stayed two nights and wished we could have stayed longer! Will definitely suggest to friends and will return!

We were at Hotel Jaizkibel only one night (3 adults, 2 rooms). The rooms were comfortable. The breakfast included in our rate was excellent. The staff were all very responsive. The only issue we had was that the road the hotel was on was closed in both directions for road constructions./ This was an issue of the city not of the hotel , but the staff seemed to be unaware of this. I was directed to the parking garage by driving through a closed road sign. We were able to exit the same way the following day. We wondered if there were other people at the hotel. Ours was the only car in the parking garage and we did not see anyone else in the hotel or at breakfast.

Amazing stay
Amazing stay - beatiful and calm hotel with an understated elegance. Lovely terrace. Great service from helpful and energetic personnel, makes us want to go back.

Clean, modern well-maintained hotel. Comfortable beds. Very nice quiet residential area. Bit of a hike to the sights. Very helpful staff. Good breakfast.Only major negative, their well-reviewed restaurant is only open 4 nights a week, so we were unable to try. A rather ridiculous state of affairs. Everything else about the hotel was great.

Hotel Jaizkibel was awesome - the staff was very friendly and the hotel is well located between the old town and new town in Hondarribia. It is very clean and the rooms are spacious. We highly recommend!

Wedding playing loud live music till12pm on Saturday night was not good. No rest. Would have booked elsewhere.

Great location
This was a great location for exploring both the old and new sections of town. We enjoyed the patio area for a drink, and dinner in the restaurant was excellent. The breakfast had a nice variety of choices.

Near San Sebastián airport
Excellent hotel located about a 5 minute walk from the waterfront and stores. Delightful place to stay. Front desk lady was so very helpful and all very friendly. Put this one on the list as always stay here when in town

Main problem: most important soccer match was on TV but hotel was “too cheap” to provide this channel. All 4 star hotels and less provide this basic service to guests. I was very surprised and disappointed and can not recommend others to the property

Pleasant hotel in quiet residential area but a short walk from town and sea front. Clean modern room, a bit small. Quite expensive considered overall. FrIendly and helpful front desk service.

Comfortable stay
Very comfortable stay and good location. Free underground parking and welcome drink most acceptable. Breakfast was good at an additional charge of €13 each .

One night stay
Small hotel in a quiet residential district. Short walk to Old town and the new town. Staff are fantastic, told us what to see and where to go. Only small issue we had was the heating cannot be controlled in the room but overall great visit. Very clean rooms, comfortable bed and decent shower. Could not hear anybody else in the hotel. Awoke to the lovely sound of birdsong. No gym etc but the walk into town show help.

Wonderful hotel easy walk to Tapas
This hotel was super clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms very clean. The restaurant in the hotel is EXCELLENT really and food at nearby restaurants are great as well. If you are looking for wonderful culinary experience speak with the restaurant's manager who can make many super $$$$ suggestions for dining experience. However, if this is not your style the restaurants and sites near the harbor and beaches are divine and super affordable. Note, this hotel is not in San Sebastian but it is 5 minutes away from SS airport - SS is 20/30 minutes drive from this area and also a wonderful treat. We did not stay in San Sebastian because all hotels were sold out due to Film Festival - so we lucked out in this slow paced town and drove to SS when we wanted to be a bit in the action.

Jaizkibel is Tops
The hotel staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to answer a question. The hotel is an excellent community of high-end homes. The free under-ground parking was a real plus as street parking was largely not available.

Perfect, simply perfect.
I only stayed here for one night on a business trip, the receptionist was instantly warm and friendly, the wifi connected easily and with no fuss. I had dinner with a colleague and it was really special, far above what you would expect of a hotel of this price range, the deconstructed cheesecake was mind blowing. My room was big, clean, comfortable and the bathroom was large and really well equipped. English tv channels, a well stocked mini bar, a balcony with a view of the mountains and the most perfect breakfast before a day of business. I stay away over 150 nights a year on business, so to find a hotel like this is a real treat, I'll be back for sure, next time for longer and with my kids. Thank you so much.

On touring holiday, hotel convenient for walk into town. Room relatively small with only one chair, personally would dispense with table and put 2 chairs in. Bar and sitting area good with small library. Had dinner twice, food excellent, wine was good value. Had breakfast once, doing justice to the cost meant overeating so didn't bother on other 2 days. Hondarriberia is a lovely little town, good cheap bus service to San Sebastian so avoiding parking hassle in San Sebastian.

The hotel is in a quiet location but a very convenient walking distance from the old walled city and then onto the main town and waterfront. Free parking in underground garage. Good buffet breakfast. Very helpful staff.

Our stay was delightful. The hotel is lovely, our room,comfortable, spacious ,very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. the location was in a very nice and quiet local neighborhood, just a short walk to good restaurants, shops and harbor. Breakfast had many good choices. We would stay here again.

Excellent Hotel
The reception staff spoke very good english and were very helpful. I needed secure parking for my classic car and their underground parking was perfect. A group of us had their group menu which was excellent. Overall the hotel was very clean and provided excellent service and very good value.

A great hotel in a charming town
We stayed here on a train layover from Paris to Bilbao. The town of Hondarribia is quaint and near the water. The walk from the hotel is maybe 8-10 minutes at most. The staff were super friendly and accommodating and the room was quite comfortable. We had dinner at the restaurant at the hotel which is also quite good.

The perfect hotel in Hondarribia
It would be difficult to think of anything to improve this hotel. It's located in a lovely residential area, the perfect retreat after Tapas down by the water. The room was super comfortable, and it's located to some of the best cycling country that the world has to offer. The staff was all very very friendly, and one of the staff members even called my car rental company for me and spoke to them in Catalan so I could extend my booking. I look forward to staying at Hotel Jaizkibel again.

A nice, small hotel.
A small but very nice hotel, a short walk from the old walled city and from the main town. Spacious clean, modern rooms. All guests are given a complimentary free cocktail, with an appetiser, on the evening of your choice. All staff we met, spoke good English and were very helpful.

Exceptional find
It would be difficult to improve on this excellent hotel. The best we stayed in on our tour of Northern Spain. The dinner in the evening was outstanding value for money, couldn't be beaten and as for the wine list-never have we been to a restaurant before and seen such a reasonable list. We had an excellent bottle of Rioja for €10. The only thing for us Brits that could improve this hotel is to have a kettle in the room for our cups of tea!!!

Great business hotel stay
Great hotel for staying while you are in the area for business. The hotel restauraunt is fine and there is an excelent selection of places to eat within a 5 min cab ride. The room was small and TV even smaller, so plan to spend your entertaining or leisure time in Irun/Hondarribia, not relaxing in your room. Hot shower, clean rooms, decent food. If you are undecided with where to stay when exploring this area and do not expect to stretch out in your room - give this place the vote it will satisfy.

ideal stop
Staff were great , parking secure and free . Restaurant food was very good , well prepared and presented . The rooms were a little bland and had a utilitarian aspect , but they were clean and fine for a two night stop . The maid left the windows open while cleaning , so watch out for the mosquitos . Overall a good stop , the reception staff were more than helpful and multilingual .
