The room was nice but on theolder side for decor

Posted Feb 9, 2016
Pros: It was very close to the beach and town
Cons: The actual finishes i.e. the Decore and the way the shelving was melted was a bit on the older 1950 styles and a bit funky for lack of words
The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I room did face the ocean however I think is the only one. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The actual Decore was a little old-fashioned. We spent our time in town and it was very nice being close to town. We would stay there again

Nice Hotel, Across from the Beach

Posted Jan 26, 2016
Pros: Bed was large and comfy. Location was perfect! Decor was cool.
Cons: Staff was not very friendly, breakfast that was included was nothing but good effort, should fix the gaps under the doors and update those heaters.
Location: The location was directly across Moonstone Beach. ONLY reason I chose this hotel was for the reasonable price for the location compared to the others.
Searched all nearby hotels before I chose and ended up with Mariner's because of the lowest price. Read that some rooms were remodeled which looked really nice so I stopped in early in the AM to ask about availability. Front desk said they were all reserved. Not sure how they could have been reserved ahead of time though... Location is directly across from moonstone boardwalk and down the steps to Moonstone Beach. Only two restaurants walking distance unless you go into Cambria which isn't far of a walk either. The bed was a king and was comfortable, four pillows was plenty, but could have used a thicker blanket. Heater was very outdated and ran along the wall under the TV. It made noise until it got a little warm but then I realized it was super close to the outlets where the phone, TV receiver and TV was plugged into so I didn't run it very long. Noticed review and photos about the gap under the front door which I definitely noticed when we checked in but tuck a towel under and problem solved (except the musty smell, not sure if that was beach or the room). The room itself was decent though, didn't feel gross sleeping there so that says a lot. Had a mini fridge too which was handy! I would stay here again for the price but be prepared during colder months and bring a big blanket.

Best GM ever

Posted Jan 14, 2016
Pros: New rooms, suite, ocean front, Moonstone boardwalk right out front.
Cons: It's being done as I write.
Joe was amazing. Moved me to the 1bedroom suite as a courtesy after hearing what I was going through, didn't even charge me extra. He was so Nice and helpful. The hotel is going through a big renovation and the new rooms are just Adorable Beachy! You need to stay in the new rooms.

Weekend in Cambria

Posted Jan 4, 2016
Booked a last minute New Years weekend get away in Cambria. Tried to be thrifty and found this hotel/ inn. It's ok for the price. It had parking, a bed, shower and heater. The views were good and liked the continental breakfast. However rooms had no phone and hotel ran out of shower gel. Bring your own soap.

Great escape

We loved our room with a fireplace. The jacuzzi tub was an added bonus. Right across from the beach and in a great location. We will go back.

Good location - right across street from the water

Posted Jan 2, 2016
Pros: Location
Cons: Breakfast selection needs to be improved.
Enjoyed our two-day stay. Friendly staff. Easy check-in and check-out. Room furnishings are dated. The complimentary breakfast needs to be improved. Room was clean and comfortable.

Warm staff, cold water.

Posted Dec 5, 2015
Pros: Nice location.
Pleasant facilities right across from the Ocean. We were told by the receptionist that we were lucky, our room had been newly remodeled. The room was nice and yes, newly remodeled, however the water in the shower would barely get warm on the first night. It was brought up to staff that said that it should work. The second day it was equally cold. I spoke with the owner at checkout who gave us a reasonable discount and said he was sorry and that it would be addressed and that he was having contractors come in that day to do repairs and upgrades and that he had just recently purchased the property.
