Very close to the beach.

Posted Oct 10, 2016
Pros: All the above.
Location: As above.
Close to beach walks and restaurants. Even close to the elephant seals, one of our favorite activities in Cambria. Even played shuffleboard with my wife, the first time we've ever done that!

Thank you for being our guest at the San Simeon Pines. We are glad you enjoyed playing shuffleboard with your wife, and that you especially appreciated the proximity to the interests you enjoy. We just purchased a Foosball table for our hospitality room and are adding even more fun features. We look forward to your visiting us again the next time you are in the Cambria area.

Very close to the ocean.

Posted Sep 28, 2016
Pros: Location near Hearst Castle and the ocean was a one minute walk. Nestled in pine trees.
Cons: Get the renovations done.
Location: Near the ocean and Hearst Castle. Near Cambria which has fun shops.
They currently, 9-25-16, have about half their rooms closed for renovation. The renovation is a complete gut and start over. Should be nice. The location is excellent and for us was quiet. Was stayed in what they call a cottage which has a fireplace and a patio. It was not renovated. It is old, but then so am I. It was a time trip back to the '60's. We didn't mind. Though things are old and a bit worn, the carpet was newer and the mattress was good. Things were in good repair and clean. The continental breakfast was average, I liked that they had bagels and cream cheese, and had hard boiled eggs in addition to the usual cereal and sugary stuff.

Nostalgic Inn

Posted Aug 30, 2016 on Orbitz
Pros: The location was incredible.
Cons: More electrical outlets and a mirror for hair dryer and curling iron.
Location: A fabulous location across from beach trails.
We loved the flavor of this older motel. It had an incredible location where we walked the cliff edge of the beach. We will most definitely return. Loved the rustic wood ceilings, fire place and nice firm beds. Rene was at the front desk and was most helpful referring us to Lynn's Restaurant.

Thank you for your kind words. We are currently undergoing a total renovation but keeping the rustic feel that you truly enjoyed. We are also including new vanities and mirrors. Your nice comment about Ronay was very appreciated as well. We look forward to your next visit with us.

Favorite Cambria lodging

Posted Aug 16, 2016
My family has stayed here since the '80s. We love there are no neighboring businesses, the beautiful pines, and of course comfortable, clean rooms.

One of favorite beach hotels.

Posted Aug 11, 2016
Definitely one of the best beachside cabin/hotels. Close to the water (but only rocky beaches nearby, just FYI), great little woodsy feel, and very comfortable rooms.

Grand besoin d'être rafraichi

Posted Jul 30, 2016

Stop here on your road trip

Posted Jul 30, 2016
Fabulous old place that harks back to a bygone era. It's a bit close to the highway but the rooms are great, open fireplaces, comfy chairs, huge bed and a lovely rustic feel. California quail on the golf course was a bonus.
