Nice country Hotel

Posted Nov 20, 2017
Pros: The furnishings
Cons: The restaurant was a bit clinical, though probably lovely in the summer, hard to make it look cosy in winter.
Location: No time to check out. Just stopped over on long journey.
A very comfortable one night stopover, nice meal and lovely staff

Good location. Average to Pleasant hotel.

Posted Oct 25, 2017
Great lobby and bar area. Nice breakfast although the room was clearly in the middle of a refurb. The room was very small for a family room. Dirty/bits on the carpet. Dated interior. Good bathroom size and cleanliness although shower gel needs to be replenished daily. Comfortable beds although noisy neighbours. A lot of banging and mumbled shouting kept my children awake and we later found out an arrest had taken place due to a fight between guests. Complimentary breakfast/drinks would have been a nice touch to rectify this. A lot to improve on for the overall guest experience to warrant a good 4* rating.

Overly priced

Posted Sep 18, 2017
Overly priced for what was a basic double bedroom.. £79..can get better and cheaper at a premier inn .. pictures on website are deceiving !!! Peeling wallpaper.. no booklet as to what time breakfast was etc.. AND.. that it incurred an extra charge/ cost of £12.50 each.!!. Which is not included in your stay.. the breakfast was COLD..!! ..and very poor.. not friendliest of receptionist... ! Will not book here again.. !

Pleasant stopover

Posted Sep 8, 2017
Pros: Spacious
Cons: The level of lighting in bedroom.
Location: No idea as we were passing through on M 6.
Smooth check in. Good sized room. Got drenched trying to fill bath as shower came on. Instructions would be useful. Found lighting so subdued I couldn't see to read. The ladies' cloakroom was best lit! Thought the lounge and dining areas were well done and enjoyed the aspect of woodland. Had dinner and breakfast. Sirloin steaks were not as tasty as eaten in a north Lancashire hotel from local butcher. Enjoyed breakfast but a tray would help. We were constantly passed by a lady who was getting food for her husband as well as herself. We would stay again if in the area.

Very good. I left some items of clothes behind and they promptly posted them on to me. Excellent service.

Set in lovely gardens

Posted Aug 23, 2017 on Hotels
The hotel is set in beautiful gardens just off the main road but is very quiet and has a lovely menu. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was excellent and had the added bonus of french windows which I opened up as the weather was lovely.

Average hotel, nice location

Posted Aug 21, 2017
The location of this hotel is great and the grounds look lovely. The hotel however is a budget hotel and no better than a Travel Inn. The room was comfortable, however some of the sockets didn't work and the fuse blew out during our stay, leaving us with no lights. This was very quickly fixed by staff. The staff were very nice and friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is very average with no menu. There seemed to be a lot of food waste as anyone who orders the cooked breakfast just gets the same thing wether you want all the bits or not. There was also cereal and some ok coffee.

Hotel close to Sandbach

Posted Aug 1, 2017
Pros: It was quite but probably because we went on a Sunday night
Cons: The breakfast needs to be looked at, just awful.
Location: Not sure as we were only staying one night for convenience.
Disappointing, interior needs a make over. Breakfast awful, nothing much to eat and was very expensive. Only good thing was our bedroom was quiet and quits good! There was one girl on for Sunday evening and she was doing the reception, the bar and serving in the dining room!
