Warm and Welcoming

If you want to feel as if you're visiting family, then stay at Big Oak B & B. The innkeepers, Jeanie and Jim, are warm, interesting, and interested people. We were welcomed with a pitcher of ice water and basket of fruit in our room. Jeanie offered several recommendations for dinner in downtown Sandusky; and we had a lovely walk by the waterfront after dinner before returning to the B & B. Breakfast was marvelous: a lovely eggbake, fruit, and coffee. If you're interested in going to Cedar Point, the hosts can give you directions to get you there in ten minutes or so. This is also one of the most affordable places to stay in the area. Compare online. The rooms were decorated in a variety of themes, with lovely collections of antiques and crafts made by the innkeeper. If you are a person who wants immaculate, spare surroundings, this is not the place for you. If you want a homey, British style B& B you will want to book at Big Oak.
