Nice hotel close to Cedar Point. Great variety eat

We were given a handicap room even though we did not request it at reservations which were made well in advance. We were told it was all they had. Room was very nice but the shower was very inconvenient.

Nice, Small, and Quiet

The hotel is right on the main drag with lots of places to eat right down the street. Its small but very nice and the pool and hot tub are the best part. Very clean and not crowded at all, no excess of kids. The complimentary breakfast was good, nice variety. We stayed there for a 2 day trip to cedar point but the hotel was more enjoyable than the park for us.

No pool and no sign they are working on it

They said pool was out of order and would be operational in April . On May 7 it was still out of order. Clerk said it has been out of order since the previous fall.

Convenient & Clean

The personnel at the front desk were friendly and polite. The decor was updated and room was clean. The only negative aspect of our stay was the pool was closed and this was a determining factor why this hotel was chosen for our stay. Needless to say the kids were very disappointed. We found out the pool has been closed for 2 Months.

Beware! The Pool is currently under maintenance, but at the reception they provide a voucher to go to a gym for free... No kitchen available, only a microwave oven and a boiler, but the laundry room is ok.

Our front desk manager saved the day!

We were so pleased with our stay at Hampton Inn. The first Hampton we were scheduled to stay in had a note at the front desk stating the pool would be closed until further notice for maintenance. This was extremely disappointing to us as one of our criteria through hotel.com is a nice pool. Our front desk clerk was ( I believe her name Ferina) on it. She suggested to us that we allow her to check at the Hamton about 4 1/2 miles down the road. She was not only able to accommodate our desire for a pool but had our room upgraded for our inconvenience. We felt very well taken care and appreciated her effort that went way beyond what other hotels would have felt necessary in the way of aiming to please the customer. A side note to hotels.com...is there something you have in place when criteria isn't able to be met due to unforeseen circumstances to contact your customer so other accommodations can be made? If not this may be something for you as a business to consider. It would place you above the rest in offering top notch service to those your serve.
