This was our second visit, and the staff is always so courteous. The property is well-maintained, clean and quiet. We plan to return.

Check in took a fair bit (waiting in line, it was busy) and then my room keys didn’t work two times. The third time I called to the front desk and Marcia came to the room with keys in hand. Marcia, Judi and Lexie were all very nice and tried their best to get working keys. Our room was nice. There was a hair tie and some trash on the carpet when we came in, so that was a little sketchy but other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

This place was so good but two items were very impactful….the room had no coffee! Then we are told to go buy coffee and it’s a half mile from the room! If your excuse is that you have a contract w Starbucks charge me $10 night more and put Starbucks in my room. So frustarated

There a lot of trains that go by all night so if you don’t like that sound, you might want to check out someplace else. Other than that, it’s a great resort.

We arrived super early morning to watch the solar eclipse at lake Erie's shore. Sawmill Creek Resort staff had our rooms ready way before official check-in and made sure they were all near each other, even though Expedia didn't help with that. They were all super friendly and nice, the area is actually quite pretty, we really liked Huron downtown and the coffee shops there. Rangers at the nature preserve near Sawmill Creek helped the solar eclipse tourists out with googles and directions. Overall, everybody was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were great, they have a Starbucks, a dinner restaurant, and indoor and outdoor pools for the kids. Just great, Thanks for the great time!

Perfect place to view the 2024 eclipse! The hotel itself was lovely—clean and modern, friendly and helpful staff (even around our toddler's antics), and great food options on-site. We loved the having the expansive grounds to find a perfect viewing spot and were impressed that a fully booked facility could have so much space that it didn't feel crowded in the slightest.

We did a quick overnight (4/7-4-8) and the staff was remarkable. Super kind and accommodating. A special shout out to Julie in the breakfast buffet area. Our daughter has food allergies and she was so helpful in working with the kitchen to make her something special. It was not expected but just great. Thanks to the chef, as well. She also was very very helpful in talking about where we could go for the eclipse - nice to hear from a local! The grounds are lovely, the service fantastic. We already want to come back over summer - just a relaxing place.

Young teens were running around without parental supervision disturbing areas where adults were attempting to have meaningful conversation. Also running up and down halls unsupervised till after 10:00 PM

Overall we enjoyed our stay. But those doors, they slam too hard. They will leave nightmares, and you will hear everyone’s door on the property slam shut all night long.

Loved early check in they allowed plus late check out! However, no coffee other than buying Starbucks which I dislike. Former owners had very best coffee in area. All discontinued. Had to drive to McDonald’s. Brunch was excellent! but bring back the former restaurants coffee machine darn!

We stayed here because my daughter played Volleyball at the Cedar Point Sports Center. This hotel was close to the center and easy to get too. Great place!

the whole floor we were on smelled like weed. A lot of noise coming through the walls. Pool closes way too early.. especially since they have a lot of kids coming through because they are close to the cedar point sports complex. Not focused on family needs or team needs at all. very disappointing this time around.
