Nice hotel 15 min from Cedar Point

The drive is quick to Cedar Point. The staff was friendly. Pool open late during the summer which is nice.

I wasn’t impressed with this hotel. I definitely think that the review scores are artificially inflated because the hotel offers a $20 refund if you write a positive review. It seems that the front desk employees were new for my stay because we had trouble with getting into our room both nights. When we got there, the door had to be re-programmed. The night after we went to Cedar Point, our key cards wouldn’t even let us into the hotel and they also had to be remade. Once in the room, the A/C was completely unplugged so it was very hot. From there, the A/C unit was very old and didn’t not work properly. It was very loud and would either blow full blast heat or full blast cold. There was no thermostat or auto-off feature once at a desired temperature. I was in a room with 2 double beds. The room was very small but I will say that the beds were fairly comfortable. The separated sink area was nice. The toilet/shower room was dusty and old. The toilet did not flush properly. The pocket door was very hard to close. There was no mini fridge, coffee maker, or microwave. The free breakfast was just ok. There were waffles, a couple cereals, sausage patties, bread items, and yogurts. Would’ve been nice to see more hot items.

The assortment of food for breakfast was great! Had everything one could want to eat in the morning. Rooms were nice and quiet as well.

Cons: Service
The door to the bathroom was broken and would not close and main dead bolt was broken as well and would not lock plus no associate at main desk to check out the next day.

Subpar stay

Our room had a broken bathroom door & a toilet that didn’t flush well. The breakfast was subpar, not much to choose from. Don’t think we’d stay here again. Chose this hotel bc it was cheaper than the rest in area, so I paid for what I got

The hotel itself was wonderful. We were traveling for a gymnastics meet so rest and food are very important. The breakfast at this location was subpar. The meat wasn’t fully cooked, there weren’t any eggs, the milk wasn’t refrisgerated and the waffles tasted funny. We were very disappointed in the breakfast, and we count on that as we had to be to the meet by 745am. I don’t normally send in complaints and we have stayed at other Sleep Inns with wonderful food, but you should know this was is an issue.
