Property was very nice and clean. Staff was amazing and close to Cedar Point, convention center, shopping, and food. Will be back i come back to town.

The young man who greeted us was kind and helpful. He suggested several places to have dinner and even printed out a map we could follow. I must admit that when we first pulled up, I was taken aback by several of the neighbors' metal gates across their front doors. But our stay was happily uneventful. Our room was so clean, with new carpeting, tile and other fixtures. We had a simple but nice complimentary breakfast in the morning and met oodles of people from all over the US, here to see the eclipse. Then we headed out to explore more of the area!

The staff were friendly and check in was simple. But they keep the lobby door locked so you have to call to be let in. The worst part was we found bedbugs!

The room was freezing. I asked for extra blankets, as my daughter and I were sharing the room. They only gave me one. I asked for a second. After turning the heat up, we were still freezing. I called back to ask for blankets, they said they would only give us two extra per room. I am so fustrated I chose this awful place … I don’t know how they have 8 stars!! Never again!!!!

When I booked, it said that my card would not be charged until check in. I had planned on using a different card than the one I used to reserve the room. When I got there and presented the front desk person with my preferred form of payment, he said that they already charged my card 2 days before. He then proceeded to argue with me and refused to refund my card and run the other one. He said the reserve now pay later was an Expedia thing and he did not have to honor it. I was quite irritated.

The staff was very nice, and the rooms were basic but clean. We just needed a place to crash while we were visiting cedar point. This was perfect as it was affordable and was only 5 minutes away from the park.

Good choice for a Cedar Point stay.
Hotel staff barely spoke two words to me but the room was clean and comfortable. It was a little strange that we couldn’t access the hotel lobby from our hallway and had to go outside but the area was quiet and the price was right. It’s an older hotel for sure and could use some updating but I would stay again.

Location is great, rooms were nice only complaint is the breakfast (my party doesnt eat pancakes) my plain bagel choice was almost stale, get rid of hostess donuts and cheap treats and add eggs and bacon or sausage for a perfect review.

Southshore Inn is a great choice when visiting Cedar Point. It's located just outside the entrance to the park. The Inn was very clean and comfortable. Fridge, microwave, bright vanity, great shower pressure, comfortable beds w/ three pillows each. We didn't eat the breakfast and the pool was closed for the season, so I can't rate those things.

This property is dirty and in somewhat poor condition! I found a cookie behind my bed. There were bugs coming up from the sink and there was little hot water. Also, the toilet needs to be flushed 3 times just to get toilet paper down! It’s loud at night hearing the train that is so close by. I feel a bit sad having to write this review because the person that checked us in was so nice and welcoming. Most reviews that I read prior to staying were positive hence the reason why I stayed! Sadly, this is an honest review on this property. I would never stay again

Not much to.like about the property. Stayed for 2 days room never cleaned, blood and bugs in the tub, no soap in the dispenser. Lights flickered when they worked. Was not a very clean establishment and not worth the money they charge.

Very clean rooms! Nice pool and hot tub . Good breakfast. Very close to Cedar Point. Nice garden area, with picnic tables. Looks like more improvements coming.

It was close to Ceader Point. We stayed on business side of hotel outside door lock didn't work no cameras on that side.We also had to walk out side of hotel to get ice at front desk & to get breakfast..

This hotel.was booked as a second choice and definitely should have been our first choice. The staff was friendly and accomidating and the room met our needs being a large family. The pool was wonderful as well as the hot tub. Thank you for a great stay.
