The owners were very friendly. I loved the antique look and feel of the inn. This was my second stay at this inn and I feel like an upgrade to the mattress’s is in order. The bed was not comfortable at all! I also think a choice of breakfast would have been better. I would stay there again.

Great property. Sat out on the lawn and read all afternoon. Breakfast was superb. Innkeeper Eric and his sister were terrific hosts.

Good breakfast, nice charm in a good spot.
The grounds could be a little more manicured.
Very old wooden chairs outside should be tossed and replaced. And totally unreasonable to expect a guest to want to use a blow up hot tub with no filtration or chemicals; there's just no way to make that sanitary without changing water and scrubbing after each and every use. It's just clutter. Just like thinking a guest would use a sauna and massage chair in a cluttered garage .. hilarious. Good intentions but new owner needs to understand the way any distinguished guest would think

Robert,Thank you for your feedback. As you said, we are new innkeepers in out first season and appreciate the advice of iur guests. We take it seriously and act on any areas as soon as possible. The older wooden Adirondack chairs have been removed and replaced. As far as the hot tub it is brand new and has an automatic filter and chemical distribution system. Additionally, the water chemistry is checked twice daily and adjusted if needed. We are adding new amenities, such as the sauna and massage chair that you mentioned. We have plans to place them in a renovated spa area that will be installed this winter. We just wanted to offer the use of these fun and useful resources for those who want to use them. Hope to see you again soonEricInnkeeper
The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic and relaxing time. Breakfast was amazing every day, the room was perfect (king suite) and there is literally nothing else that could have done better. Highly recommend!

Thanks so much for staying with us. It was our pleasure and we hope to see you again.
This B&B was amazing! On a peaceful, quiet street with beautiful grounds to enjoy. You came back from a day out and could relax in an Adirondack chair on the massive lawn or a rocking chair on a porch. There was even a koi pond to enjoy.

Property needs work
We had an issue at check-in with my friend ‘s reservation. It was not our fault but we basically got lectured how we should never use Hotels.com but should always book directly. Then she shouldn’t post on such sites! She then told us what it was costing her for us to reserve thru such sites! I don’t care!! I’m on vacation!! We have never ever had a booking problem before. Even so, we were tired and frustrated and didn’t need to be chastised. Then my friend made coffee instead of using the pre-made pot at breakfast and was ‘scolded’ and asked if she heard the rules the night before or not. We felt like guests in someone’s home who didn’t really want guests. The gardens had grown completely over and things needed tending in the house. I think the owner is in over her head, which is sad.

This Homestead was full of charm and history. It'centrally located in Sandwich sothat you can walk to most of the sights like the boardwalk, the canal and Visitors' Centre and many eateries. The host Katherine has made it a "home from home" and nothing is too much trouble. She is also an excellent cook -great breakfasts.

The owner and staff are wonderful! Beautiful authentic place. Breakfast was very good and, grounds were beautiful. If you stay in the second floor rooms, be aware getting to them is an authentic spiral staircase so it can be narrow and a bit steep. The bathrooms were clean and elegant with a hot tub/bath tub combination and smallish separate shower. Parking was good with two electric car charging stations.

Thank you for your very kind words, Todd! I must mention that only two of our seven rooms are accessed by the curved staircase at the front on the main house. As in all houses 170 years old, the stairs are fairly steep because of the eleven-foot-tall ceilings! Glad to know you enjoyed our stay with us and thanks for taking the time to tell others about it.
