Location excellent

Posted Nov 14, 2017
Pros: see comments above
Cons: See comments above
Location: Location excellent for transport to Dublin.
Staff helpful when available. Seemed to be a staff shortage, especially in the restaurant. Needed a fridge in our room, but had to use the fridge in the restaurant. TV was rubbish. Could not get BBC (which were supposed to be available). Really liked the coach service from the hotel to the airport. Will use this hotel again when visiting my grandchildren studying at Trinity and UCD because of it's location.

Well located

Posted Sep 12, 2017
Pros: Everything bar the cooked breakfast-staff good, room clean and comfortable.
Cons: The cooked breakfast- needs to be hotter.
Location: Bit out of Dublin but ok as taxis, buses and Luas available.
We have stayed at the Clayton Hotel on 4 occasions and the only issue we have is that the cooked food at breakfast is not hot enough, which spoils the breakfast totally-everything else is very good. I again mentioned this to the reception staff-hopefully they will take our comments on board!!

Good hotel

Posted Sep 7, 2017
Pros: Staff helpful and knowledgeable, even able to accommodate a change of room for a different view.
Cons: Breakfast was OK, the cooked food section could have had a little more variety.
Location: On business, good links to the airport by coach or by bus and tram
Easy to find from the Luas Tram from the city centre. Quick check in and check out, staff very accommodating even though being fully booked.

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff and good family rooms.
Cons: Coffee at breakfast in the morning.Have tea!!
Location: Anything you want in Dublin but you can walk to the racecourse.
Great option for Dundrum shopping, racecourse and centre of Dublin via the shuttle which is frequent and 12 Euros return.Good breakfasts as expected.A good choice if you don't want to be in the centre.

Helpful staff; good location for the Luas (tram service into the city of Dublin); parking on site which is very helpful (but not included in the room rate); nice cakes within the coffee / cafe area

Very nice hotel

Posted Aug 31, 2017
Enjoyed our stay at the Clayton hotel. Very clean. Very friendly staff. Lots of places to have a meal, snack or coffee and cake. Breakfast was self serve with everything you could think of provided from cereal with yoghurt and fresh fruit to full English and everything inbetween. I highly recommend this hotel x

Pleasant hotel but quite a way out of the centre

Posted Aug 28, 2017
Pros: Clean, comfortable and quiet and really easy to get into central Dublin.
Cons: Details about which Clayton Hotel this is and better description of facilities available.
Location: This is a very quiet and safe location right on the green LUAS tramline - a 25minute ride into central Dublin.
The hotel was fine though difficult to find initially as there is at least one more Clayton hotel on this route out of the centre of Dublin. There was no pool and the sun terrace was not appropriate for sunbathing. It is right on the tram line to get into Dublin and the aircoach stops at the door. Our room was fine and the staff were helpful and friendly.

Pros: bar area was quite pleasant, and drink was good...nice area to relax in the evenings
Cons: why charge extra for parking? surely for guests paying and staying, free parking could be provided
large crowds at check out in the morning, long delays when queuing....very poor breakfast, again large crowds, most items were cold, the few sausages that were left looked raw and uncooked, I asked another person who was attending the same conference as I was and they confirmed the same about the breakfast,
